I'm hoping one of the jurors will mention they saw something about the case on the news or TV or their phones while in the deliberation room.

And god willing, someone who wants out without making a decision will tell the judge this in writing as all jurors are allowed to do.

And thus, mistrial.

Not guilty would be the best outcome (though I don't see that happening). A mistrial can be retried, and it will be retried if it's at all possible.

I personally don't think Chauvin killed Floyd, either deliberately, by accident or with depraved indifference and the prosecution hasn't proved that he did under state law. I don't think they put on a shoddy case because they had no case.
