Russ 100 % believes that he will find a magic key, whether it's the correct combination of words, that one lawsuit win or the perfect dollar store gift, that will throw open every single door for him at once. It's been mentioned here before but in Russ's mind all of his insane fantasies about fame, fortune and fuck dolls are a matter of if, not when and the only thing delaying it are people not following the script, they're cheating and as soon as he convinces just one other person of that (Taylor will come to the trial and see how mean her management was with this lawsuit or once she reads this suicide threat this prostitute will see how the world has been unfair and hurt me so deeply she'll be so touched she'll lower her price and fall in love) then everything else will realign with his vision and go just as he plans.

After harrassing Ericka and her boyfriend for months he thought if they could sit in a room with a mediator (who would take his side) and as soon as he gets her to agree that he's a good guy, all the threats, the guilt, the stalking, none of that will matter and she'll fall in love with him, leave her bf and become his trophy to show the world. Because that's what she was supposed to do before all the stalking, threats etc etc, that's what she was supposed to do before going off script.
TLDR; I have no doubt in my mind that he thinks he'll win a case so hard one day the courts will look back at his old lawsuits and apologize, awarding him everything he asked for.
I used to think it was super weird that Russ got so fixated on being the only existing "nice guy" but I realized I was WILDLY overthinking the whole thing.
Why does Russ honestly believe no man has ever been as kind to these women as he has? Because someone was then his target would be married.
Easy as that.
He will show a woman how nice he is, he will marry her and she will be his. That's the formula. So if someone else had already come along and applied that formula properly she wouldn't be single or she wouldn't be a prostitute or she wouldn't be posting pictures of herself on the internet because the world is just a big store that sells women and posting a picture of any kind is the same as making yourself a window display, and why advertise goods if you can't buy them?
If she does have a bf well he must be treating her bad because if he wasn't, the formula would have already worked and, once again, they'd be married/that bf would own her and she wouldn't be posting pics online.
I find the easiest ways to find the "whys" with Russ is to just approach everything in the most childish, selfish way possible.
I find it one of the weirder (non)reasons to feel like a big boy, but there are habitual rule-followers who think that because following "the rules" (No matter who makes said rules) can be a lot of work and take a lot of will power that they should be seen as better than those who can't or don't follow said rules.
So to someone like Russ it doesn't matter that these are the rules of a church he's been ex-communicated from because it was never about the religion or belief itself; it's because someone in authority said that good people follow the rules, so he's a good person because he follows the rules.
It also works as a great justification for occasionally breaking said rules and still being "superior"; even Usain Bolt needs a break after running but that doesn't mean he looses all his medals, it's just a small break to catch his breath and relax. He's still going to be better at running than someone who never runs once he's rested and recharged.
Habitual Rule Followers look at breaking their rules the same way.
This one I don't get, but I've never understood it with anyone.
My best guess is like when you're around a foul smell for so long you get used to it, but instead of just a smell it's also sweat and grease and whatever other gross things spill from your festering, unwashed shambling corpse in a day. I guess you just stop feeling the grease drip down your face, stop seeing the build up of grim on your clothes and skin....

I don't know where to start with this. There's just so many things.
We all know about the hypocrisy, the 'poor me' memes being a staple of the Pipsqueak diet. How though, is saying men don't deserve to touch you being 'poor me'? That's just asking you not to be rapey, don't be rapey.
So then he saunters up to her replies to ask if he can touch her, along with half the population of other men and gets told in no uncertain terms to fuck off. So he makes a 'poor me' post and calls her a Karen because he is told he doesn't deserve to touch her. She is the problem, not Russ being rapey.

It was in response to somebody calling him a pipsqueak so he pulled himself up to his full 5'9" height and said he's not a pipsqueak and he goes to the gym all the time so he's really buff and studly. So it's got to be one of his triggers as a result, we've started using it more often but also because we know he's a manlet.
First of all look at him. He looks short. Then compare him against other people who's height we know and he's got to be around 5'5", a little shorter than his supposed 5'9".
