The only npc with a he/him pronoun is "a massive asshole". The writers are just trying too hard and dont have enough creativity to be original. It's pathetic.

Something that ticks me off about this is the "no facists and bigots allowed" declaration on page 11. They say if you don't agree with all of the typical lefty tenets then you should "fix your heart before sharing a table with other people" (so educate yourself, and don't ask someone for help as one of the rules is "Not demand that anyone educate you about their marginalizations"). What is this supposed to achieve besides a virtue signal to your audience? It's not like this is actually going to stop these facists or bigots from playing your dumb game that fetishizes being a lesbian.

Imagine if someone made a ttrpg where everyone was trans and it constantly stereotyped and fetishized what it's liked to be a transperson. People would lose their shit.

The short answer is "They don't think." The long one...

The simplest way to think of it (and not get it horrifically wrong like they do!) is that social constructs are an AR layer imposed by society on top of objective reality. Social constructs are things that we, as a culture, have decided to all agree are real; objective reality is what is reality, the shit we cannot actually alter just by wishing hard enough. Sometimes a shift in words is used to help indicate which one you're talking about--for example, when you're discussing the differences, 'gender' means you're talking about the social construct and 'sex' means you're talking about the objective reality.

Their problem is they confuse the AR layer--the social constructs--for objective reality, and believe that objective reality can be altered just like (they believe you can alter) social constructs.

They're literally not in touch with reality, when you get down to it. (And that's before you get into them somehow missing that social constructs are...well...what we all agree on. Not what one person decides to REEE at us as fiats.)

It's also why they're very rare outside of Western culture: Damn near everybody else has very little chance of not running into people who are clearly not playing the same AR game, so to speak, which really does tend to make it hard to not notice it for what it is.

This is pretty much exactly why I hope Kevin joins the ranks of the 41. Not because I personally detest him, but the harm he can, will, and does bring on actual vulnerable people. It's almost infuriating having to sit back and watch it without being able to do something about it. Rate me MATI, I don't give a fuck. It sucks seeing people fall sway to things that will full on ruin their lives.

The most interesting thing about it is that it's constantly a cycle of declaring a new identity, wondering if that identity fits them, generating anxiety about actually fitting into it and if people believe it, doubting more if they actually fit that identity, and then searching for and declaring a new one. Discord isn't the "new message boards" Kevin you attention whore, it's IRC with bells and whistles. It's literally chat rooms. The point of chat rooms is that that they (ideally) keep flowing and you build cred on them by being present and able to join and engage at the spur of the moment. Large communities couldn't give a shit who you are just by being in the userlist. Nobody (except perhaps kiwi researchers) is going to go back and read every comment you've dropped in the room. While I'm sure the internal Korps drama is juicy as fuck, I guarantee you Kevin is also pissy at Discord because he literally just cant keep up with the chat and the RP doesnt wait for him lol.

This problem is not unique to Kevin to be fair.
