Well.... there are.
I mean I'd paste in here the Evangelion alt timelines but then the board might justifiably lynch me. But actually there are multiple series with characters. Like a favorite of mine, Goblin Slayer has... 4 "comic" lines right now? (depending on how you count - Main story, prequel story, "brand new day" story, and some new story)
I guess I should clarify: it's not that alternate timelines/storylines don't happen in manga, it's that they're less common and more easily identified. Off the top of my head, I know Attack on Titan and My Hero Academia each have their own side/alternate manga as well. But again, these are clearly marked and easily understood to be separate from the original storyline, and they're just as easy to follow along (start with volume 1 and work forward). They're also generally self-contained, so you can follow the story easily enough from one volume to the next without necessarily needing the full context of the original work. And of course, they're
dwarfed by the number of series that are completely standalone.
If you asked me where to start with, say, Spiderman, even if I actually had a working knowledge of modern capeshit, I could not even begin to tell you. I'd say it's a major wasted opportunity that Disney/WarnerMedia failed to capitalize on their movies' popularity and streamline their comic universes to make them easier for interested newbies to get into them, but looking at Marvel/DC's history of reboots, I don't think that'd even be possible.
I'm surprised he hasn't gotten a heart attack with this much rage, and resentment built in him by now. This much bottled up could harm anybody, Even kill them in one bad day. If anything, I don't think COVID should be the anvil that he must worry about. His own deteriorating health because of anger should be on the list, but that's like asking Bob to stop spouting words salads, and accept some battles are way above his check.
That got me thinking: is Bobby's rage mostly performative?
Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there's this core of resentment that still bubbles inside of him to this day, that he's not a famous Hollywood screenwriter living the high life in his mansion, being serviced by big-tiddied Asian meidos. However, he's had a decade-plus career of supporting himself through writing and making videos about pop culture pablum, probably one of the easiest jobs in the world, especially given how little effort he puts into his work. He makes tens of thousands of dollars just through people dumber than he is willingly giving him their money, not to mention the other gigs he's had along the way. He lacks for nothing, able to live an existence that's comfortable enough to ease the pain of dreams unfulfilled.
But he so desperately wants to be part of the Lefty Kool Kids Klub, those he sees as his ideological equals and far superior to the Mayo Ghouls. After Gamergate, and especially after Trump, Bobby saw all his senpais get exceptionally angry at wrongthinkers, and wanting to fit in, he started spewing hatred too, throwing in as many angry emojis as needed to show how very serious he was. Wanting to fit in so badly, he frequently overdid it, throwing out epithets so vile that even his senpais were like "woah okay calm the fuck down." But because he has autism, he didn't understand, so he keeps at it.
I mean, I don't doubt that he does harbor hatred for anyone who dares to stand in the way of the Superior Future™. But it really doesn't take much thought or effort to shit out another "I'm so ANGRY" tweet, and then it's back to the bread and circuses. Maybe that's why he hasn't died of a rage-induced heart attack yet.
One thing working against this theory is the sheer volume of mad tweets. I mean, we've got almost 4000 pages in this thread, chronicling hundreds, even thousands of his tweets, and that's just a drop in the bucket when it comes to his, frankly,
insane output. If it's even partly performative, it's one hell of an act to keep up for that long.
Bob going full fedora tipper and violent anti-mayo fantasy, yet again.

Good God in heaven, there isn't a fedora big enough to encompass these tweets. (because Bob's
faaaaaaaat)
Excellent rebuttals already made here in this thread, but man, for someone who seems to possess a sincere belief that there's a benevolent daddy in the White House waiting to reward Bob for how many tweets he makes condemning the Mayo Ghouls, the projection is off the charts. I feel like if you asked me to write a parody of a euphoric atheist, I don't think I could do a better job than this.
On a couple other side notes, Bobby doesn't seem to be aware that in much of red America, people really don't give much of a fuck about the gays. As long as you're not up in people's face and acting like an asshole, people are generally live-and-let-live. I mean, that's true about just about anything, really: don't be a dick, you'll be treated fine. Yeah, there are those that hate gays, but I'm pretty sure his beloved Bahstahn is full of those types too.
And I'd
really like Blobbo to tell the world the good works he's done for anyone aside from his family. Seriously, name one, name
anything you've done out of the goodness of your heart for a stranger. He can't, because of that qualifier at the end of the sentence: "...and reap the same." Bob would never do something nice for someone if he wasn't going to get something in return. He's a selfish cunt through and through.
Cling to that Superior Future™, Bob. Cling like the believer you are.
