The most basics of bitches here for fucks sakes, every college freshman has this fucking take "oh, religion is just delightful, but people don't get that the bible is just a setting of ideas to live by" as if they are the first ones to crack that idea.

And then they quote that shitty Dogma movie: "Mankind got it all wrong by takin' a good idea and building a belief structure out of it."

problem with this retards is that they think religious beliefs is just pure fanatism withou a single exercise of rationality, when that isn't the case at all.

But if you are searching for a spiritual fulfillment, a sense that there is more to life than we can reach with our senses, and a place to belong in these fleeting moments we call life, then yes, you need faith, you need to believe in a higher power, otherwise what is the motherfucking POINT Robert?

So what, people go to church to just be "delighted" over reading the scriptures? delight is a meaningless word that smug assholes like Robert like to say while looking down upon everybody else, because they think they are the ones that figured out "the world is what it is, there is no man in the sky, and everybody is an idiot but me".

And I'm not a religious person myself, but fuck this smug rhetoric that people like Robert spout, go prostate yourself over you phone Robert and recite the dogmas you were taught by, so you can also join the superiors on this crazy, black and white, belief system you have, that you tottaly came up with you genius rational mind, and not spoon fed over to you with propaganda.

Bob's violent fantasies are due to him knowing he's an utter failure. He's the kind of person to get your blood boiling- until you remember not only is the fat fuck in no position to carry out his threats, he wouldn't be able to even if he was. He is the ultimate keyboard warrior. If he really was the macho, 300lb bench-pressing, gun-toting survivalist he claims he is, he'd be out there putting the fear of God into the hearts of wasteland ghouls everywhere. That he remains behind the screen instead of carrying out his threats evinces his impotence.

Or maybe he's just mad because he's so fat he can't beat his meat to Princess Peach anymore. Who knows?
What's really interesting is in my most recent search is the amount of times he humble brags about being in bar fights which any sensible person will tell you that if your name isn't Dalton then it should be less than one.

Adding to this from a religious perspective:
What really gets to me is the simplification of beliefs for the sole purpose od being dismissive. i.e. "man in the sky telling you what to do." There is already an unbelievable degree of theological discussion around how the conceptualization of God is impossible for mankind. We are finite, mortal beings who are decidedly not omniscient nor omnipotent. How then, can we be expected to fully grasp and comprehend the existence of something like God who IS omjipotent and omniscient? What, then, actually IS God? I think underlying the pseudo-intellectualism tippers like Blob cling to and embody is a total fear and incapability to answer that question with an honest "I don't know and never will know." This arrogance also belies the insecurity Blob pretty clearly has about who his family is. Most people who are religious, myself included, are specifically Christian/Muslim/Jewish/etc. because those are the traditions and customs of their families. Blob's family ARE the blue-collar consumerist Mayo Ghouls he adamantly despises. Small wonder then that he dismisses who they are, their customs and their traditions and supplants it with whatever he believes to be the most popular idea of the "upper classes" he so desperatley wishes he were in with. In many tippers case, the arrogance alone walls them off from having any consteuctive interaction with those who think and believe differently from them. Blobbo's psychological case, however, adds barbed wire and another 50 feet in height to this wall.

Professional activists have always been tactless subhuman grifters who'll pounce on any opportunity to get on their soapbox. The idea of civil rights activism has been mythologized to the point where all of the same unsavory and degenerate shit one might assume represents a decline of these movements was always a prominent feature and only got selectively edited out of the history books by academics who want to fool the average public school, university educated, and/or MSNBCNN/Hollywood-trusting tard into thinking it was a great heroic undertaking and everyone involved was beyond reproach.
Same thing with journalism. Journalism, pre-watergate, was seen as a racket. A grift. A grind. It was not sacred.

Well.... there are.

I mean I'd paste in here the Evangelion alt timelines but then the board might justifiably lynch me. But actually there are multiple series with characters. Like a favorite of mine, Goblin Slayer has... 4 "comic" lines right now? (depending on how you count - Main story, prequel story, "brand new day" story, and some new story)
I guess I should clarify: it's not that alternate timelines/storylines don't happen in manga, it's that they're less common and more easily identified. Off the top of my head, I know Attack on Titan and My Hero Academia each have their own side/alternate manga as well. But again, these are clearly marked and easily understood to be separate from the original storyline, and they're just as easy to follow along (start with volume 1 and work forward). They're also generally self-contained, so you can follow the story easily enough from one volume to the next without necessarily needing the full context of the original work. And of course, they're dwarfed by the number of series that are completely standalone.

If you asked me where to start with, say, Spiderman, even if I actually had a working knowledge of modern capeshit, I could not even begin to tell you. I'd say it's a major wasted opportunity that Disney/WarnerMedia failed to capitalize on their movies' popularity and streamline their comic universes to make them easier for interested newbies to get into them, but looking at Marvel/DC's history of reboots, I don't think that'd even be possible.
I'm surprised he hasn't gotten a heart attack with this much rage, and resentment built in him by now. This much bottled up could harm anybody, Even kill them in one bad day. If anything, I don't think COVID should be the anvil that he must worry about. His own deteriorating health because of anger should be on the list, but that's like asking Bob to stop spouting words salads, and accept some battles are way above his check.
That got me thinking: is Bobby's rage mostly performative?

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there's this core of resentment that still bubbles inside of him to this day, that he's not a famous Hollywood screenwriter living the high life in his mansion, being serviced by big-tiddied Asian meidos. However, he's had a decade-plus career of supporting himself through writing and making videos about pop culture pablum, probably one of the easiest jobs in the world, especially given how little effort he puts into his work. He makes tens of thousands of dollars just through people dumber than he is willingly giving him their money, not to mention the other gigs he's had along the way. He lacks for nothing, able to live an existence that's comfortable enough to ease the pain of dreams unfulfilled.

But he so desperately wants to be part of the Lefty Kool Kids Klub, those he sees as his ideological equals and far superior to the Mayo Ghouls. After Gamergate, and especially after Trump, Bobby saw all his senpais get exceptionally angry at wrongthinkers, and wanting to fit in, he started spewing hatred too, throwing in as many angry emojis as needed to show how very serious he was. Wanting to fit in so badly, he frequently overdid it, throwing out epithets so vile that even his senpais were like "woah okay calm the fuck down." But because he has autism, he didn't understand, so he keeps at it.

I mean, I don't doubt that he does harbor hatred for anyone who dares to stand in the way of the Superior Future™. But it really doesn't take much thought or effort to shit out another "I'm so ANGRY" tweet, and then it's back to the bread and circuses. Maybe that's why he hasn't died of a rage-induced heart attack yet.

One thing working against this theory is the sheer volume of mad tweets. I mean, we've got almost 4000 pages in this thread, chronicling hundreds, even thousands of his tweets, and that's just a drop in the bucket when it comes to his, frankly, insane output. If it's even partly performative, it's one hell of an act to keep up for that long.
Bob going full fedora tipper and violent anti-mayo fantasy, yet again.

Good God in heaven, there isn't a fedora big enough to encompass these tweets. (because Bob's faaaaaaaat)

Excellent rebuttals already made here in this thread, but man, for someone who seems to possess a sincere belief that there's a benevolent daddy in the White House waiting to reward Bob for how many tweets he makes condemning the Mayo Ghouls, the projection is off the charts. I feel like if you asked me to write a parody of a euphoric atheist, I don't think I could do a better job than this.

On a couple other side notes, Bobby doesn't seem to be aware that in much of red America, people really don't give much of a fuck about the gays. As long as you're not up in people's face and acting like an asshole, people are generally live-and-let-live. I mean, that's true about just about anything, really: don't be a dick, you'll be treated fine. Yeah, there are those that hate gays, but I'm pretty sure his beloved Bahstahn is full of those types too.

And I'd really like Blobbo to tell the world the good works he's done for anyone aside from his family. Seriously, name one, name anything you've done out of the goodness of your heart for a stranger. He can't, because of that qualifier at the end of the sentence: "...and reap the same." Bob would never do something nice for someone if he wasn't going to get something in return. He's a selfish cunt through and through.

Cling to that Superior Future™, Bob. Cling like the believer you are.

Does anyone else remember a tweet chain where Bob alluded to him being a tough, bar fighting kinda guy? I don't

This thread should properly be preserved among his greatest hits. He's borderline admitting that he's at fault for all that is wrong with his life but that he won't change because that would be a major slight against his massive ego.

Same thing with journalism. Journalism, pre-watergate, was seen as a racket. A grift. A grind. It was not sacred.
That depends. Walter Cronkite was seen as the authoritative source of news, though I suppose that's a slightly different question. Journalism may have been seen as a racket, but it was a real racket, conveying real news- now, we're slowly waking up to the fact that not only is it a racket, it's a fake racket, conveying fake news. Though I suppose a certain level of illusion was predictable; "It's no coincidence that the press got good press."

Tick tock, Robert. Your time is running out and there will be no salvation coming from SCIENCEtm to save you from death.
Bobby's salvation is to take over your robotic body.

Bob manages to even get it fucking ass backwards.

Overly Organized Religion is insanity at times because it is run by people and can be turned into a corrupt bureaucracy that forgets the lessons it is supposed to be teaching because Money and Power, But Bobby doesn't care about the point of the lessons of the bible..he simps for the Totalitarian Establishment even when he is tipping his fedora.

Does anyone have that picture of teenage Bob? I feel like it needs to be reposted every now and then because he used to be even less intimidating than he is now. At least current Bob you might be afraid of him trying to molest you on public transit. Big creepy Uncle vibes.

I think there isn't much point to argue over that particular tweet, because Bobby doesn't define what he means by "religion". Does he mean the general tenet of supernatural belief? The literature? The ritual? The conversion experience? witnessing? The sense of belonging among believers? The sociology? The politics? Without defining "religion" we cannot be sure how he contrasts "religion" with "belief", but it gives me the picture of a tourist oohing and aahing over the Sistine Chapel, but then flies back to his home country unaffected by the experience.

Not trying to be dismissive, but in just following this thread I legit believe he has anger issues. That combined with being maladjusted socially and diving into geek shit I think really paints the kinda guy he is today. He mentioned seeing a school specialist or whatever and getting out of therapy, so I think he may actually have anger management issues.

It's definitely not new or unique to comics. It's just very, very badly done in the modern woke stuff, to the point where a lot of them only exist to serve as a pulpit for the writer; they may as well use an AI bot to grab tweets from anyone with #BlackLivesMatter and pronouns in their bio to make the scripts.

Conversely, take something like Watchmen where, even if you knew absolutely nothing about Alan Moore's politics or the real-world events that inspired it, you'd still have a really interesting take on the superhero genre filled with memorable characters.

Meanwhile, if you removed the copy-paste SocJus soliloquies from woke comics there'd be literally nothing else left; they are pure propaganda and nothing else.

True, the manga industry is legendarily brutal (the amount of Author's Notes I've read where they talk about ending up in hospital to make deadlines is crazy) and extremely cut-throat, but being a manga fan over comics one thing I will say is that the depth of variety in titles you can find is staggering compared to here in the west.

I used to buy Shonen Jump occasionally a long time ago, and it would have Naruto, One Piece, Dragon Ball Z, Yu-Gi-Oh, Shaman King and Hikaru No Go...so, series about ninjas, pirates, kick-punch men, card games, voodoo and Japanese Checkers, respectively. Hell, one of my all-time favourite manga is about a dude who climbs mountains. That's it. Motherfucker just really loves to climb shit.

All that variety in one monthly anthology, while Marvel and DC were offering us...the umpteenth reboot of the exact same heroes they've been putting out for almost a century. The manga industry definitely isn't perfect, but I can see why they're thriving while the old guard of the west are crumbling.
i think the key that DC (and marvel to a lesser extent) had was the interesting idea of a contained Universe that had been growing and evolving since '38-39. DC had always been strong on the idea of "legacy" and that was the big core theme outside of the Trinity of Superman/Bats/Wondy.

Key point in quite a few shonens? One Piece, Naruto, etc.?

Legacy or "Inherited Will".

Then N52 happened and blueballed DC. Then they couldn't stop falling down. Marvel's also similarly guilty of fucking up legacies but to their credit they do not have any major golden age ones outside of Cap/Namo/Torch and arguably the Vision if you do want to make the case for the design/name passing on. But "legacy" or "inherited will" was still an important lesson in marvel. Think of the end of the first Spider-Man story with the famous quote. I don't even have to type it. You know it. That quote defined Spidey and still does.

I miss the moments where superhero comics would get cheesy about legacies or "inherited wills" or some such thing. The Avengers vs X-men event had a thing about Mar-Vell coming back to life, only to sacrifice himself to save everyone again. The lines were a bit sappy but it was still enjoyable.

Rant aside, Blobbo probably has loli porn. You just know it.

and a weinstein penis.

You know it's funny to think that in any other life Bob would be the most dangerous man for his violent beliefs and psychotic beliefs but it's always thankful that he's a lazy coward since those two traits hold Bob back from being a horrorcow. Like imagine if someone like Bob committed a massacre or tried to get in power with no restraints, on the surface that is a horrible thought but then you remember why Bob is a cow instead of the next Columbine Shooters or Hitler which is that he's a retard who wants other people to enforce his beliefs for him while he safely sits on his fat ass watching Marvel movies on Disney+

Because of the level of euphoria in Bob's tweets today this post contains a lot of Catholic sperging. I know not everyone appreciates that so I'll put it in a spoiler.

The idea that religion is opposed to reason can be shown to be untrue when you realise that St Thomas Aquinas said that reason is the path to God and that Benedict XVI said that God is pure reason.
This fat retard actually thinks only right-wing people are religious
It would be a shame if one of Bob's waifus said that her religion lies at the heart of her actions.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said:
Innocence, in its mercy, partly excuses us from having to fully reckon with the spiritual gifts of forgiveness, grace and redemption at the heart of the Catechism: I believe in the forgiveness of sins.
What does he think religion is if not belief? To be religious you have to believe in God, and religion is how we express that belief.
”You're assuming good faith. I read the rest of the TL and know that this person is a schismatic and heretic of the type that only provided the world value when they were being burnt at the stake as the 16th century version of fireworks.”

It reminds me of the sort of person who says ”I'm religious but I don't like organised religion”.

This is about as coherent as saying ”I like using gyms, but I don't go to a gym.”
