School of choice being UTDallas is pretty unfortunate because Texas keeps awful archives. Clearinghouse only goes back to 08 and full dropout/leaver record is via the TEA only, which doesn't give much public access due to FERPA.

I don't know about that. Through my job I met couple of PhDs and some of them were really... exceptional people. One woman I met had similar lifestory to this Bradfinn speaks about. See the Reddit post from above, Bardfinn claimed on Reddit that his "toilet rag thesis" (LMAO) was about fallacies. I still don't see what this topic has to do with computer science, unless it was some post-modern cross-disciplinary palimpsest of a thesis on some computer linguistics topic that was becoming more commonplace and acceptable in the 1990s.

The TIC (tranny in question) then threatened to report one or more saidit users to the FBI.

Note that the "death threats" reported by the tranny were on the level of "trannies should be shot" (actual example), and not real death threats. Regardless, how would a host company feel about one of their customers claiming (as an admin) to be:

1. Violating their terms of service by tolerating death threats.
2. Violating federal law by tolerating death threats.

Then having that customer suggest that the FBI needed to investigate the situation. TheAmeliaMay said the "loki88" troll was responsible for the shutdown, by "making some death threats" the host disliked. magnora7 said the host suddenly decided the card used for the site was no longer good, and shut down the site immediately. At the same time he was working as a Sysadmin, he was also writing the source code for Windows 2000 (he had a post about how he pulled his Caps Lock Key off because he kept making typos with it). I'm not much of a programmer but I took some Computer Science classes. For starters, if you're writing in Octal, that means you're using an 8-bit system. 8-bit systems were antiquated even in the 90's. I'm 5 years younger than he is and even the microcontrollers we were using were 16 bit (which meant that you'd be using Hexadecimal not Octal) and you programmed those with assembly code (which is a step up from machine code).

Also, if you were in college back in the 90's, you weren't using punch cards. My University had a machine that took punch cards, but it had been sitting, unused, in the basement for years. My Dad had used it, but he graduated sometime in the late 70's.

Then we're supposed to believe that this dude can not only program conventionally, but can also skip the compiler and write a program using only his keyboard and the alt key that can be directly sent to the processor? This is such bullshit.

Are you trying to say he's beaten children, but successfully avoided leaving bruises? First of all, has anyone examined these children after he's beaten them?

As for his own child, Mr Domestic violence seems like exactly the type who would leave bruises on a child. We're talking about an extremely mentally ill criminal with a violent past, who is now a middle aged male pretending to be a woman while he spends his days in his room at his parents house bullying people online who he dislikes .

You see people being burned to death with gasoline in the middle of the street in some third world countries. and you think that might be a little excessive. But what if those places have identified their own Bardfinns, and have simply responded appropriately?
