I agree with this a lot. I think Bob was a loner for the most part and and was probably picked on but not necessarily singled out. Having been a regular in the dobson thread (whom has a lot of parallels with bobert) I think it's more so that he was a know it all that would butt into conversations and been told to fuck off. I think he wanted to be a part of the cool kids club, but when he was shut down he just hid away in geek shit and whatever pseudo intellectual crap he could get his hands on. Bob seems more mad that he didn't have a dream high school experience than he seems traumatized by being bullied.

I recall being a young Imposter and being bullied for always carrying around the monthly shonen jump and being quiet. Republicans don't hate children. Republicans look at all the money that keeps getting thrown into the money pit that is the modern education system and ask "why isn't this doing anything?" Naturally, they then become hesitant to continue to throw more money at the problem. (Of course, there's the notion that this is actually all according to plan, that the public education system is designed to produce incompetent dullards, but that's a story for another time.)

Considering the teacher's unions are overwhelmingly Democrat, and considering their current objective is to keep up bans on in-person schooling so their members can get paid for doing even less work than usual, and considering how many students are struggling with remote schooling, I think it's much easier to make an argument that Dems are anti-children.

High School has been over for literal decades for Bob. I think him letting things go at this point is just beyond hope. And part of that is because he's decided it's so much a part of his identity that "I WAS BULLIED BY CHAD" that he can't let it go. If he didn't have his impotent rage he'd have nothing.

Some grow out of it? More like nearly all. I forget the stats specifically, but it's at least 90%, probably higher, of kids that express gender dysphoria that grow out of it by the time they're adults. Because, what a shocker, it turns out that kids really don't have a well-developed sense of self, and it's just something that they have to learn to work through.

Then there's the fact that "treatments" for gender dysphoria have been shown to make no difference in preventing negative mental states, like depression and suicidal tendencies. If anything, castrating yourself and attempting to refashion your body into a pale facsimile of the opposite sex would only make things worse, I feel. Some things just can't be undone.

And then there's the horrendous medical results of these "treatments," especially when given to children. Aside from arresting healthy physical and mental development and sterilization, I'm pretty sure that getting osteoporosis when you're in your 20s isn't what these kids would have signed up for. There's gonna be a whole lot of angry and confused troons over the next few years, but I fear most are just going to blame society for not accepting them instead of the doctors and pharmaceutical companies that lied to them and prevented them from getting the help they really needed.

The "logic" behind pushing this on kids is basically what you said: if a kid transitions early, then their body can supposedly be more easily changed to look like the opposite sex. Troons believe that if a man's body has never been tainted by the evil testosterone, then pumping it full of estrogen will magically transform it into a woman's body (and vice versa). They probably internalize regret that they couldn't do the same, having to go through normal puberty and becoming icky adult males/females, and they want to prevent other children from going through that horrendous affair. However, I think it's safe to say that this is a terribly misguided belief, with Jazz Jennings being the most well-documented example. He might have been able to pass a few years ago, but in recent years he's blown up into an obese castrato with a definitively male body shape. If all of the Bloshinskys' money couldn't pay for enough drugs and surgeries to make their son develop into a woman, what does that say about the rest of these poor kids?

(Then there's also the fact that Big Pharma is pushing this to sell drugs with dangerous side effects, as well as creating a whole new customer base that's hooked on their shit for life out of necessity, but that's a whole other story.)

I know that I'm preaching to the choir here, but it really gets my goat that troons are painting actual child abuse as live-saving therapy. And Bob's right there with them, clapping along like a fucking seal (or walrus, because he's faaaaaaat) because he genuinely believes that his almighty Science™ can actually turn biological men into anime waifus.
