The side effects are extremely subjective, both intensity and what symptoms manifest. There doesn't even seem to be any sort of anecdotal sign as to who will get hit hard or how, i.e., just going by how much reaction you might have to a flu shot, for example. Phil would know this if he did any sort of research beyond what pops up in the banners when he's looking at hotmail dot com.

He can't be buggered. That's the answer. If it does not involve the weekly acquisition of turkey burgers and consoomer goods, he is not interested in leaving his house, and the State of Washington is not going to arrange for a nurse to show up at his doorstep between streams and email him to let him know she's there to give him his vaccine.

He will never get it.

Born a leech, lived for 40 years as a leech and counting, will likely die a leech. If hes forced off twitch he will simply latch on to another service. If hes entirely kicked of the internet he will move on to another scam like maybe disability fraud or live off a trust fund. If by some miracle hes forced into an 'honest' job he will find a way to do nothing and probably be a net negative there too. Just who he is a sitting black hole of resources and mental energy. His sole contribution to society is as an amusing cautionary tale.

I noticed those brown spots that popped up on Phil’s forehead a few weeks ago still haven’t gone away so they definitely aren’t scabs like initially suspected. I think they might actually liver spots now. Normally people get liver spots before 50 yrs if they’re out in the sun constantly, but Phil’s so unhealthy in every way that he’s effectively accelerating his body’s aging and getting liver spots before he’s even 40. Truly amazing

Beat me to it. It's hilarious because (1) DSP is so afraid of "troll names" and (2) DSP needs to be in 100% control the entire time. It's also his reason why he doesn't switch to Youtube streaming; he "claims" that he won't be 100% in control of chat (a.k.a. can't banhammer 40 people per stream.)

Phil is so out of touch it's insane. To every doctor that alone shows it's not an emergency, and they will not take him seriously. That might be why he has to wait longer.

Katherine is also an awful wife, bad person or simply retarded in some way.
She should want her husband to be well and healthy. So her not allowing him to go is telling.
However, she might be special or slow in the head and might need Phil around. Or, Phil doesn't trust Katherine to be alone.
My best guesses.

Whatever the case may be, they are not mature adults. They do not have a healthy relationship and they are an awful couple.

Wait a minute; I somehow missed this. DSP can't go to the hospital BECAUSE Kat is home? What the fuck does that even mean? I thought he couldn't go to the hospital because Kat took the car to work, and then banned anyone that mentioned DSP just dropping Kat off because of course DSP can't drive home after intense hospital treatment.

I have literally never heard anyone claim that they can't go somewhere because their spouse is home short of being a full-time caregiver. What the fuck kind of excuse is that?

I mean, we knew this when DSP filed for bankruptcy and by his own admission Kat still refused to help with the finances. Then anyone that suggested she help get the immediately LIMB.

Its going to be interesting to see Phil actually deal with real health issues as opposed to the whining and crying about his fabricated issues. He is going to crumble to pieces.

I just hope he keeps a webcam going the whole way through it. The day Phil no longer turns on his streams is the day I say goodbye to laughing at one of my favorite internet losers.

Ordinarily I'd refrain from saying "no, it'll be absolutely hilarious" because things like cancer and tuberculosis and diabetes are things regular people shouldn't have to deal with but even if by some miracle Darksydephil is a persona he has been playing for over a decade his toxicity and dishonesty have pushed him so far outside the bounds of "regular people" in my eyes that I will without hesitation or shame rejoice in his suffering. I would never cross the line to cause it myself, but if Phil came back from his day off to stream in a full body cast because an ISIS sympathizer crashed a van into the Fred Meyer and ran him over breaking every bone in his body I would have to take a leave of absence from my job after cracking all of my ribs and several vertebrae from laughing so hard.
