The powers that be have overestimated their ability to take away the benefits of society while still expecting the disenfranchised to continue obeying the rules.
The fabric of society is stretched super thin, I wonder what the next pin-prick will be that causes it to rip completely. I'm guessing economic collapse / hyperinflation from decades of horrific financial policies finally catching up with us thanks to the covid overreaction accelerating things this past year.
Humans are animals quite capable of extreme violence. Especially when they have nothing left, or even way before then when the bread and circuses start to fail. Which type of post-collapse dystopia are you guys rooting for? I'm more of a mad max guy, but the hunger games is probably popular with the youngins.
