I haven't kept up with Kelly in awhile. I bailed on the exposed nerve twitching stuff.

But how the hell is she shocked? She couldn't have possibly thought those legs would last. Might as well come back later to see the stump picking saga and her big reveal of the unknown new leg stump disease she has aquired that is baffling doctors.

The necrosed bone was bad but the bit of the video where she's waving to the camera through her leg hole was vile. You shouldn't play peek-a-boo through your leg and think "better post this to TikTok/Insta/whatever". It's a real testament to the resilience of the human body.

Iirc couple years ago she came pretty close — lots of her pictures were being removed because of the high rate of reporting both the individual photos and her accounts. She started putting warnings in her posts and pleading with people not to continue reporting her, but to no avail. That’s when the Dropbox updates started.

Read through the whole thread (kinda just said fuck it at the end and used the Highlights feature) and I'm both flabbergasted at how well the body can endure so much trauma before it buckles, and how mentally disturbed someone can be to ignore pain - something that every living thing more complex than your soon-to-be lobster dinner experiences - enough to turn her legs into blackened, zombified goo. I've seen some grody, necrotizing wounds on animals, but nothing comes close to the pic of Kelly's rotting beef jerky leg-window or the exposed nerve.

Not only is she going to have to deal with the catastrophic amount of pain from her body trying to recover and adapt to the loss of her fucking legs and the months of equally painful physical therapy, she's going to have to deal with all the phantom sensations her brain is going to put her through. Bet that's going to drive her up the wall: she's going to feel tingling, itching or stabs of pain and she'll go to scratch or pick at her shins only to remember that she doesn't have them.

I feel for the doctors, nurses and other medical experts who did so much to try and heal her legs, any normal person who suffered such damage would do anything and everything to make sure they didn't have to go through that kind of pain. Maybe there's a silver lining to all of this, maybe she's a unique enough case that can be used to further advance something in the medical field.

Or she'll probably keep fucking around until she finds out what man's "final journey" is.

Camera in the room is how they ascertain that wounds are self inflicted, yes. It's how MbP gets busted too. It doesn't get talked about much because if they know where a camera is, they'll go to great lengths to do what they do just out of view.

With someone like Kelly I’m just not sure why they continued to aggressively treat the infections she created.

It's a lot of paperwork to let a person die in hospital, especially through "mistake" or "neglect". One annoying cunt is not worth your student debt and career.

Like how easy it would have been to get the culture, Rx the wrong antibiotics or just really weak doses, and let nature take its course.

Antibiotics are uh, exactly what it says on the name. If it is a living thing, it kills indiscriminately. The reason antibiotics seem to kill only the pathogen is because most pathogens breed rapidly, and in the process take in a lethal dose of antibiotics rapidly.

There is no "wrong type" of antibiotics unless the pathogen is already resistant to certain types. If something was going to be killed by doxycycline, amoxycillin was gonna work just as well, and so on and so forth.

I suppose the delivery mechanism can be wrong, but it's not like anyone is letting Kelly down a bottle of hibiclens (antibiotic wash for surgery prep). Plus there is a similar case - years ago, a pregnant lady received an epidural of disinfectant. She lives in permanent pain and most of her body is paralysed, so I don't think it would work for Kelly either.

This isn't exactly necrotizing fasciitis. Kelly picking herself was the main vehicle of infection. Plus there is a chance the pathogen becomes antibiotic resistant and if it makes the jump to another patient...

Also, optics aren't very good, especially if there is family checking in. Kelly herself may be too crazy to realise what is going on, but her sister would want progress reports.

She is too normal even to comprehend how crazy Kelly is, and has been sort of flitting in and out of her life as Kelly's lunacy waxes and wanes.

This isn't really important considering y'know, the legs, but can a lazy eye get lazier?

Lazy eyes can get lazier, if we are talking childhood/teenage years to adultood. Not so much adulthood to middle age, but at very advanced ages it gets even lazier again.

Situationally, lazy eyes also become more prominant under the influence of drugs.

What you are also seeing is Kelly just getting mentally worse. Most adults with lazy eyes tend to learn tricks to avoid showing it - e.g. Paris Hilton avoids facing the camera dead on, but this kind of stuff requires being "switched on" at all times.

But how the hell is she shocked? She couldn't have possibly thought those legs would last.

It is very common for the very mentally ill. Time and space mean nothing to her, and telling her something an hour ago reaches to her the same as if it was told a month ago.

She probably remembers making ballet poses around the room like it was yesterday.

ICU and quarantine and several other rooms have CCTV installed by default to ensure remote supervision, compliance and prevent breach.

You can easily pull strings to assign the patient in such a room to begin with, but you cannot randomly install cameras in a normal room.

Most countries have laws relating to privacy, patient confidentiality and whatnot and Kelly would have every right to refuse such a room.

She had a boyfriend for a while, or at least ex on amicable terms who kept in touch and occsionally drove her places. I have no idea what happened to him.
