Any term reminding people that true believers of the scamdemic are akin to a cult or a religion is a good one. You want some of that "Old Time Religion", well guess what, the Covidiots of the world are followers of the oldest. Their faith in COVID-19 and their demands for strict adherence to ritual is an ancient form of religion, where the gods were vengeful and despised humanity and all we could do was cower in abject fear of them and appease them in whatever way we could so they didn't wipe us off the face of the planet. It's religion as it was, a religion built around fear of greater forces that dominate your life.

Therefore the Covidian must follow exactly the tenets laid out to them by high priests like Fauci and the priesthood of the WHO. They must wear the holy garb of two masks at all times (over the nose OR ELSE) and follow the their god's order to stand 6 feet apart from all others. They must constantly praise the terrible might of their god, COVID-19, and mock the disbelievers she strikes down and pray for more deaths at the hands of COVID-19. Persecution and harassment of those who refuse their part in the worship of COVID-19's might is mandatory, lest their goddess punish them and everyone they know. The vaccine is their eucharist, a sacrament taken twice every few months and is sacred beyond all else, and criticism of it the highest blasphemy. They follow the strict dietary taboo of nevering eat food outside their home and never allowing more than the smallest of guests into their home, for COVID-19 is a jealous god. All of society must center around their religion, a religious practice known as "lockdown". Sporting events, concerts, restaurants, and all else must strictly follow the tenets of Covidianism lest the religious police close them down and arrest the heretics. The afterlife of the Covidian is a paradise where COVID-19 has been banished by the piety of her followers.

I really don't see much of a difference between other strict religious societies and COVID-19 cultists, and any researcher peering into our world from another would think the same. It's a superstitious, violent religion straight from the Bronze Age, offering nothing but fire and brimstone for all who disbelieve. It's truly ironic that many atheists who mock and despise the Bible and are quick to point out the shit God does in the Old Testament have become fundamentalist and devout followers of this new religion.

I think Western minds are warped by the idea that a religion has to be like Judaism, Christianity, or Islam and thus ignore the fact secular religions like COVID-19 worship are practically identical to historical religious beliefs, especially violent faiths like Assyrian or Aztec religion (or Old Testament Judaism which shares a few theological similarities with Assyrian beliefs). Don't laugh at that idea either given that Covidians often express the desire for killing those who oppose their faith (and perhaps harvesting their organs and blood for public health?) and would undoubtedly sacrifice their pets if Dr. Fauci or another high priest declared it necessary for public health.

It's still a shitty vaccine no one should take, and possibly the most objectively shitty vaccine of the terrible trio given relatively low protection rates and similar or even higher risk of short-term side effects. It's selling point is that it's potentially no worse than other shitty vaccines like some of the botched flu vaccines and won't lead to long-term autoimmune illnesses, infertility, or cancer. Not something I want in my body or something I'd encourage anyone to get without doing their own research and weighing their own risks.

Italy too, since "Hug a Chinaman Day" was an initiative a few mayors in Italy launched to fight those evil xenophobic racists. At least their fellow wops like Cuomo and Pelosi only told people to go visit Chinatown.

Yeah it's pretty clear that the west does have a need to some kind of cult to rule over them. replace fear of god with fear of COVID and you get the masses eating out of your hand. Something I've noticed about real atheists is that they have conviction but they are not zealots or seek to fall into the same pitfalls that these psychos have, I.E actually taking the lessons of history to heart, nor are many of them cowards that bend the knee when fearmongers spread their lies.

It's one of the many reasons why it's not the virus but people's reaction to it that is the main issue.

Proving what sane people have known for years: obesity is not healthy no matter how you slice it. Put down the cake, stick to a diet of sensible amounts of good food, and go for a walk. Steer clear of fad diets and focus on lowering your caloric intake while increasing calories burned. You don't have to try and lose it all at once, a little at a time is all it takes as long as you stick with it. It's not rocket surgery.

Calgary police finally got their revenge against Pastor Pawlowski​

Pastor Artur Pawlowski, a resident of Calgary, Canada, has been a thorn in the flesh of Alberta Health Services (which is the equivalent of an American state’s health services) since the Covid pandemic began. Pastor Pawlowski had the temerity to believe that the Canadian Constitution meant it when it said that everyone has a fundamental freedom of conscience, religion, and peaceful assembly. When the government tried to shut him down over a virus with an average 98% survival rate, he vociferously resisted. The government got its revenge yesterday.
Canada has been extraordinarily aggressive in policing its citizens over a virus that has a 98% survival rate. People who have traveled overseas must stay in designated hotels, where they get abysmal service, for prices that would keep someone comfortably at the Ritz in New York, back in pre-Covid days. One of the things that most irks the Canadian government, both national and provincial, is church worship. Americans became aware of that thanks to a viral video in April showing Pastor Artur Pawlowski, who grew up in Communist Poland, calling the Canadian police “Nazis” for entering his church and trying to disrupt the service. His crime? Conducting a worship service that exceeded the 15% capacity limit that Canada now imposes on religious worship.
Pastor Pawlowski clearly believed he was entitled to the benefit of the Canadian Charter Of Rights And Freedoms, which is an integral part of the Canadian Constitution. Sections 1 and 2 of that charter state in their entirety as follows:

I simply want to point out that, in the grand scheme of things, Western societies have managed to make Covid fairly inconsequential.
After their first unsuccessful foray to block worship services, the police came back last week with a warrant to enter Pawlowski’s church and arrest anyone they wanted who refused to leave. Pawlowski again sent them away with a flea in their ear.
The police let Pawlowski conduct a service a week ago Saturday but yesterday they struck. A full congregation appeared at the church, something that must’ve outraged Jason Kenney, who is the premier, or governor, of Alberta provin.

I'm not sure it's that cut-and-dry, considering my own red state church didn't get back to worshiping in person for almost a full year, and even now still requires face masks and social distancing during worship. Had some hope today though, as our pastor made his feelings clear during our morning Bible study: he's done with this shit, he's ready to do away with these last few restrictions, and even if variants become a problem, he has no desire to bring them back. Unfortunately it's up to the council to make the decision, and he doesn't actually have a vote there, but several members of the council were at the study to hear him. I think I'll try to attend this month's meeting for the hell of it; I may not have a vote, but I certainly have a say.

That said, I've often found myself thinking about the trends of our increasingly irreligious society. I'm not about to go out proselytizing, but humans have more or less evolved with a need for a belief in a higher power. It's woven into every civilization throughout history, spawning countless religions over the millennia. But when people turn their backs on organized religion, that desire doesn't go away, and it inevitably gets replaced with something else. Whether it's the I Fucking Love Science crowd that fawns over Black Science Man and the rat fuck Fauci, or those that have turned political parties into their religion of choice, or even those that treat the media they consoom as their personal bible, they all end up worshiping something. And don't get me started on self-worship, egged on by the social media giants.

This is kind of drifting off topic, but when you consider studies that show that religious people tend to be happier and healthier overall, it wouldn't surprise me that churchgoers are less affected by coof hysteria. And it may be anecdotal, but not a single member of my church has died of the coof, so take that as you will.

It did come up, but I thought and think that's simply because just about every newspaper in the world has been reporting the number of local new cases on a daily or weekly basis for over a year now, so you can find any needle you want in that particular haystack.

We're living through a cult takeover of a civilization. The cult of social justice, or intesectionalism is now the dominant religion of the North American/Anglosphere bourgeois. It sees 'science' as a mere rhetorical tool, an appeal to a past age where the word had meaning, now it simply means whatever they want it to mean, complete with nonsensical studies and surveys and the like. Anyway like all things this will pass. Unfortunately I can't see that happening soon and the true believers are on an escalation spiral verging on full blown religious mania. We're very, very likely to experience massive and systemic violence as they seek to 'save' the non believers from their sin. What's particularly scary is that the cult has no redemption narrative, and there's no set down holy scripture to argue over, the rules are changeable and erratic, in that respect it most closely resembles early 20th century Communism.
