I am not here to claim that Nijisanji has standards or that one fanbase is exclusively better than the other, but yes, lol & lmao if you continue to think that the new ENtubers are cringe-inducing after years of Matsuri doing it. Marine when the horny schtick began wearing down, Ollie, etc. It'll be a jorney, a bit like the one Amelia and Gura are undertaking.

This is good news. Vtubers speaking both English and Japanese (or trying to) is something I like a lot. Her tweet you linked is basic stuff, but maybe she can write/speak more than that.

I think the critique of NijiEN stems from the fact that they are doing it from day 1 and this is the only thing we know about their behaviour so far. We know Matsuri and Marine for months/years and there are clips to prove these talents have way more to offer, while with NijiEN there is nothing else yet. You never get a second chance to make a good first impression, fortunately I am a sophisticated and intelligent adult :smug: and I will wait a couple of weeks to see what is the plan here.

People need to rewatch the first 10 minutes of Calli's debut and tell me they didn't almost eat their own skin clean off their body.

Cringe is basically a natural part of climatising to new V-Tubers. I cringed at Calli and she's now one of my favourites, people cringed at Kiara, people thought Ina's nerves and soft-spoken debut was a little tough to watch, and Ame was trying too hard etc. And all of them now have settled into their own communities and are doing their own thing, I see no reason this should be speculated to be any different.

Part of the vtubers' charm is the fact that they stay the fuck away from politics and provide escapism for the viewers, but Futakuchi Mana either didn't get this memo or decided to ignore it:

Calli was more cringe because her experience as a streamer was... 0, nothing, she was a content creator and did lives but she was not used to do it daily like she does now , Ame was really pushing it but she refined her way of streaming and got better, Kiara had a unholy combination of technical problems, meltdowns, and also trying to hard, Debuts are always cringe no matter how much experience you have

I dont get this fucker, does she want to nuke her Vtuber career or what? she beated Zentreya in the awful department even when the tranny dragon picked places did not outright insult her fans like this one does ,this one just pick the political flavor of hte month and treat her fans like shit, thank god she is not corpo

I agree, JP talents can be just as cringy with their fetishes and whatnot, I suppose the language barrier does give a bit of filter. I'm just really hoping NijiEN doesn't go the VShoujo route of making poopoopeepee their entire character schtick.

I could somewhat understand an indie wanting to use their influence and platform to raise awareness about a niche issue (not that I'd recommend doing so but I could see why someone might make the decision to do that). What I don't understand is staking out a public position on something that's basically mainstream news and doesn't need any additional public awareness.
 
POKA's discord has gotten razed by a compromised admin it seems. Sadly his twitter still seems to exist. Their goal seems to be to make people leave the server before he wakes up and fixes it.

Can't post screenshots rn. The server banner is changed to a pic of his Nene superchat, the title to "Follow @Reyclaire_" whoever that is. Not sure why they didn't just ban everyone if they can do this.

I think it's a glitch. There's no way a high-profile vtuber is actually losing subs befote debut.

I would say put your money where your mouth is, but I think she’s long past the line from VTuber to just another lame VTweeter. She had a good start though I’ll giver her that much.

Well Elira has gone from 16K to 8K and their channels no longer show on my subscription feed even though I am subscribed. The mermaid chick is mostly untouched though despite only being like 100 subs off of Pomu.

Is probably a anti subs spam measure, when you get subs to fast youtube begin to prune your subs until you verify or wait a while
