Its the classic Phil cycle
Say stupid shit that breaks TOS call people soyboys on twitter (does he not know what that means or does he just not give a fuck?) > A few people report him saying stupid shit > Phil blames the trolls who reported him > Go onto blame another site twitch and its partners > people report it > Phil blames the trolls who reported it.
Phil semantics states that you can do and say whatever you want just blame the people who report you. Rob a bank? Blame the bank teller hitting the silent alarm and the dumbfuck nudnik witnesses who don't mind their own business.
//edit - some typost
//warning - some rambling (been away from dsp and missed typing posts here)
Don't forget though, this is the same guy who proclaims that he can never be silenced, will always say what's on his mind, and doesn't care about what people think...Until he has a problem with Twitch and starts explaining that he was a good boy all along and he said all the right things and never went out of line.
We also live in the age where you can just make shit up to fit your narrative, something that DSP could have a PhD in. The guy puts industrial amounts of words in the mouths of people, he regularly goes on doing mental gymnastics about why people didn't show up to his stream and straight up just making shit up.
However, to play devil's advocate for just a bit, his online interactions are very deceptive to him. He encounters people on a daily basis (and who knows how many more behind the scenes), who pretend to be his friends, his fans, his supporters. They tell him lies that can fit his narrative and get him deeper into his delusion. People on Twitter pretend to be excited about his streams, people on his forums pretend to be his fans and give him advice.
All he needs is 1 chat comment that says what he wants it to say for him to buy into a new conspiracy.
And since he's a dipshit who believes that everyone who sends you a dollar to make a poop joke is your honest supporter he can't tell troll from fan. His actual fans are also pretty retarded though, so in the end, nobody wins.
Also, something that frustrates me with Dark and his pigroach luck - he'd do something scummy as fuck, like begging for money, blatant lying, etc, and then get punished for something stupid he is not that guilty of doing. The gamer word he dropped was obviously an accident (as much as I'd like it to not have been), but it was preceded by hours and hours of toxic, piece of shit begging streams. So in the end of the day, his stupid, backwards luck gets him bailed out of shit he's actually guilty of and gets him in hot water for nonsense.
This gets me thinking, isn't this the best type of purgatory? One step up, one step down, year after year begging to live day for day. He's getting older, his options are getting fewer, he has no credit and is in debt to his ass. His life is the same, but different, but worse. Kinda like these new Star Wars movies.
Something else that's kind of wasted potential is that nowadays, there is not much difference between people who hate you and people who support you. Your $1 tip to call him the n-word, and your $1 tip to say you've been watching since 1973 are the same. There are YouTubers and generally, influencers, who have realized that and have capitalized on that to rake in insane money (for example Jake Paul, Ricegum etc.)
See, our boy Dark has perfect potential for that. People generally know him as the guy who was jerking it on a livestream, a beggar, a scammer, and overall pathetic scum. Now, if he was smart, even somewhat, he would embrace that. Become the internet's punching bag willingly and you'll profit, and hell, maybe even some of the trolls will go on your side. Make people give you publicity by just being a piece of shit. Because the algorithm doesn't know trolls from fans. It's all just numbers.
But why would he do it?
- He has no friends - nobody to really embarrass anymore (that he hasn't already)
- His family sucks - cut the constant 'protect my family' John McClane bullshit, your family is a cat and a useless bitch who only works part-time, his parents, the way he describes them, are basically on life support
- He already has a shit public image - which in this case is a positive (?)
- Rake in a huge amount of money - go boxing with Tevin or some shit, do some stupid publicity stunt.
- We already know he's a piece of shit - many people hate him for how fundamentally disingenuous he is. That's a fact. But what about if he wore it all on his sleeve. What if, instead of going on a 20-minute fake-humble rant about how what he's doing is hard work, he's not begging and he's so grateful and lucky to be in this situation, he was straightforward with how lazy he is.
- The internet loves villains - for example Shane Dawson, albeit a much larger influence, his downfall created a subculture on youtube dedicated exclusively to picking apart his old content. Shitty people more or less rule the internet due to the fact that algorithms can't tell good from bad, just how big the number is.
We all know this won't happen because of his signature selfishness, delusion and refusal to change or put any effort. This, to me, stems from the fact that he feels entitled to be getting views and tips just by existing as a video creator for a long time. Like Blockbuster expecting to compete with Netflix while still selling tapes and DVDs.
Sorry for the wall of text, I've been away from Darkism and I missed shitting on DSP.
