Gonna have to disagree with you there. Old rugrats episodes are full of jokes intended for parents, and it was always pretty obvious Mrs. DeVille was written as a lesbian. However, you still couldn’t depict homosexuality on television in the 90’s (Buffy had like the first lesbian relationship and even then they could only call them “friends” and wink). So their solution was to just genderswap her partner to an effeminate man and make the implication as obvious as possible. Bob is a man of absolutes. He loves urbanism, so it all must look good to him. I also think that it also has to do with his inherent, barely concealed lecherous streak. Simply put, he can't meet or even see good trim in his basement hovel. The 1619 project was shit. It was so badly done that actual historians complained about it. If you read the letter you can see these white college professors bend over backwards and do everything they can to not insinuate that Bozo the clown's a dumb bitch and they applaud the effort of giving marginalized voices a chance to speak their speech.
