Five Nights at Freddy's fandom

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
At work today I heard some little kid say something along the lines of "Oh there's a Chica in there!" as they were looking into a crane machine. I had to a double take since that was some of the weirdest shit, and sure enough there was a duck, chicken thing in there.

I mean it's one thing to hear kids obsess over it on the Internet but to experience it firsthand purely by coincidence irl is fucking weird.

Thank you for reading my blog, I'll post more quality content when I'm not nauseas and stuck on a bus.

There's Weeaboos: someone could technically make a jumpscare game with totally "scary" anime characters serving as the main monsters of homicidal killers.

FNAF also apparently appeals to children. Scott Cawthon's previous games (such as Chipper and Co.) were mainly geared towards children. Scott tested Foxy's jumpscare from the first game on his children. Additionally, the most violent image in the first FNAF game is the game over screen with a eyeball dangling out of an animatronic suit. Since FNAF is a relatively child-friendly horror work, expect cringy fanworks from both the spergy youth and the spergy (wo)manchildren.

I don't think it was really aimed at children, I think it's sort of found a periphery demographic among children. Sort of like Call Of Duty

The FNAF fandom is cancer because all of a sudden every single lets player on YouTube dropped what they were doing and made videos like these

The game is aimed at obnoxious let's players who in turn are aimed at children. So by proxy FNAF is aimed at children.

On that note I wonder when FNAF shit will eventually start showing up in like the mall or something. Like I've seen loads of Attack on Titan shit at work (and on vaction with those airbrush t-shirt people that are legally required to be on every boardwalk in America), and other topical stuff but I can't help but wonder when I'll see the day I start seeing these kids walking around in FNAF t-shirts.

What a time to be alive.

I think for anyone to sell FNAF t-shirts mainstream, Scott would have to give companies the licensing to use the images from his games on the clothing. If that ever happened I bet Hot Topic would be the place to sell FNAF stuff; they usually have the nerdy/edgy fandoms in there anyway.

With seemingly convenient timing, this is a thing I just stumbled upon.

Also here's the wonderful person responsible.

Not gonna lie, but I have to give it to whoever made that costume: they got the horror and revulsion of the original Chica fucking nailed.

Actually when I went on a trip to florida in April there was a print shop that was selling shirts with Freddy and Golden Freddy on them, and I saw a lot of kids walking the streets wearing em. But then again I also saw an alarming amount of people wearing big bang theory shirts, so make of that what you will.

Please do not judge America by Florida's standards. It's embarrassing to the rest of us. :(

It really puts things into perspective when you turn your volume down and mentally make a goofy ABOOGABOOGABOOGA sound every time you get jumpscared.
Or this:

Yeah, the games rely on the atmosphere to make the jump-scares effective. Most visual media need a good atmosphere, which is usually brought in via sounds and music. Remove the sound, you get that.

And I've actually looked through that LPer's stash: Motherfucker is desperately using every FNAF and clone to get views, to the point of pretty much only playing them nowadays. It's pathetic as all hell.

Autotuned FNAF music videos exist in the Spanish language. I just thought you guys should know.

Also theory(?) videos in Arabic.

My current knowledge of Spanish and Arabic is pretty rusty so I don't know how cringey and spergy these videos are.

Well of course there is, there's always Spanish and Arabic videos regarding popular stuff (and even whole episodes of TV shows with terrible dubs, because YouTube copyright bots are racists) on YouTube, I'm surprised that you haven't found a Russian one yet!

Let's Play in Russian.

Also in Chinese.

FNAF has expanded its influence across many nations.
Truly the autism of FNAF could follow. Inb4 you have Russians making rule34 of the robo-furs with Cyrillic text and Chinese knock-offs that try to appeal to the fanbase for money (that is if it's not some optimistic thinking).
