Doesn't matter what armor they have, if someone was seriously going to assault the tranch, they'd be using M193 which is commercially available and will breach IV plates.
Some Level III, maybe Level IV I can't remember, plates can be vulnerable to M193. Specifically steel plates. There was a reason why every jewtuber shilling AR500 was shooting them at 35 yards or an undisclosed distance. Speed kills steel armor. There was one dude who made a video punching a Level III plate at CQB distances with a Mk18 (short barrel). Polyethylene plates traditionally stop M193, but are vulnerable to M855. Ceramic plates don't have these vulnerabilities, but are more fragile because the ceramic can crack. This vulnerability is greatly exaggerated and quality plates from known companies can take far more abuse than they're certified for. There are even harder Brinell steel plates, 550-600, that I've heard don't have the M193 vulnerability. I don't know what parameters they were tested under.

The lack of variety of rounds that the NIJ tests armor with allowed all kinds of misinformation and straight up disinformation regarding threat levels. Nowadays there is the Special Threat rating for individual rounds to be tested and certified to NIJ standard. My plates for instance are Level IV NIJ, but are threat rated for 14 individual AP, API, and ball rounds from common calibers. I'm gay. Mine are not NIJ Special Threat rated, but independently tested by for those rounds. Worth noting is that bullet velocity is also a criteria for NIJ certification.

Isn't steel what the trancheros are using? I mean youre right in any case but most people will pack 193 if they think they're going against armored targets. I don't remember what my IV LTC plates can stop but it was a decently sized list.

They're using hybrid plates that are 3/4" HDPE riveted to 1/8" AR500 (because that thickness is the cheapest and easiest to get AR500). They cost the same as Hesco steel plates and have very questionable efficacy. The guy who makes them shows photos of them all shot to shit for "testing" but never any videos.

The armor they are using is essentially meaningless, as they are so lacking in every other aspect of combat readiness that a militant Boy Scout troop with squirrel rifles could seize the Tranch. Specifically they have zero resilience, physically or emotionally. The opening shots, even if they hit nothing, would send the entire Tranch into complete panic or shutdown. Any hits would put the struck Trancher out of the fight for certain, no matter how mild the injury because they would go into histronics immediately.

Even ignoring all that I haven't seen a single helmet, so a marksman of any skill could sit with the sun at his back at dusk or dawn and take his pick of headshots.

I clicked the trailer and had to tab out to mess with something, and Penny's voice began playing and caught me completely off-guard. I hadn't heard him before, and I wasn't sure what I was expecting but that was a really uncanny sound

Its pretending to be human but we all know it isn't quite one.

I love this, they are taking an interview with them and they are sitting there with a plate carrier on holding a rifle. As if at any time they would need to return fire, and yet, they are crying. This really is some /k/ trans larp that went too far isn't it.

Not a regular browser of this thread, but this may be of interest. Furry documentary maker and bad hairstyle extraordinaire Ash Coyote is making a documentary on the Tranch.

The trailers YouTube page is infested with dumbasses who really believe the manipulation about being attacked by hick earls. The comments are pitiful it's not even worth trying to inform anyone about how they're all gluttons, liars, manipulators and animal abusers .
I doubt that would even be necessary, but letting anyone know you even do have body armor is stupid. It's not actually going to intimidate anyone, just let them know what to prepare for. If they want to be scary they should dress up like the Firefles in the beginning of The Devil's Rejects.
Hey! Anominius I like you as an acquaintence but never ever compare these tubs of lard to the firefliy family... They're actually better company

I have to solidly disagree with this part of your post.
Any sniper who wanted to headshot people at alapacaschwitz would have to spend long enough with a high magnification scope looking at said Trancher to line up a shot. No one has that sort of mental or intestinal fortitude.

Oh fucking please. Where are those stats from? America has about 100 gun deaths per day (including homicides, suicides, accidents, etc.) and I find it hard to believe that 25% of them are "hate crimes".

Granted they said "hate crimes" that "involve a gun" so it's obviously not all homicides but... receipts please.

Black men and boys ages 15 to 34 make up just 2% of the nation's population, they were among 37% of gun homicides in 2019.

Or...

Sixty percent of all firearm deaths in 2019 were suicides. In total, 39,707 people died from gun violence that year.

Does 41 percenting yourself count as a hate crime?

I must say I'm a bit disappointed in the neighbour interacting with them. Does she have no sense of danger or self-preservation at all? The Tranchers are completely inept so it's not like she can't find better help. I guess they have brute strength because big men. But she must have heard the stories in town of them larping as a militia and talking to them would immediately show that they are pretty unhinged. So what's going on here?

And yet, he's not crying

I've seen some bad actors in my time but Mr Logue takes the cake

Everything they LARP at is such an embarrassing fail

I've not seen a floorplan, but all the photos from when they bought it are up on realtor.com (and a few similar sites if you google the address - 2530 County Road 305, Westcliffe CO 81252) I'm guessing they replaced these stairs:

I haven't got a clue why they cheaped out so much and replaced an architectural feature clearly in keeping with the rest of the house with that cheap tin shit. They could have bought a couple of cheap power tools and some decent lumber and replaced it themselves for less. Or if that was too scary and difficult they could have taken the old stringers to a local carpenter and got him to make copies. Now I wonder if they are going to shell out the price of a couple of tins of varnish to protect the rest of the property,or just wait until it collapses and move in to an RV.

Whoops, I think I goofed there. It looks like the stairs they replaced are round the back

They might actually be an improvement, even if they were ridiculously overpriced. But what do building regulations say about having a door leading to an unfenced 'balcony' (it looks more like a gallows platform to be honest) and a staircase with no handrail. And it's not as if Bonnie is completely incompetent. His You Tube channel had a video of him building a desk, and if it wasn't exactly craftsman quality it seemed to be pretty securely put together.

That makes no sense from this image. The Stairway to Kevin is meters high and in here, there's only half a man's height worth of steps.
