What an absolutely based chad, well if it really is the same guy who dropped the 10k beforehand, so far he spent $25,000 that's 1/6 of the so far total amount as of writing. That's a lot of dollar right there...
Also fun fact: I think that Syl whatever the fuck only gained like 20 followers for dropping 10k. The value and trade deal of the century right there.

If? More like when. I thought I had a handle on the simp pools for these girls, but this charity stream blew it out the water. I'm really happy to see Ame have this level of success because it gives great opportunity for other Hololive talent to implement similar charity streams. Not to mention the thought of knowing how much it'll dig into the skin of certain envtubers because the drama from this alone will top a lot of the salt mines or rrat quagmires generated to date. Nothing like enraged grifter angst streams to get the sides hurting.

It's been slowing down since she hit around 100k.
Fundraising stuff like this, though, tend to raise the most money towards the very beginning and then the very end, so we'll probably see a spike in donations during the last hour.

Gotta say, Ame's charity stream seems to be really well-thought out.
- A charity for animals is possibly the least controversial choice one could think of (even if certain types of people can manufacture controversy out of nothing)
- Showing from the start that she's done at least some due diligence on the reliability of the charity itself
- She vastly underestimated for the initial goal, but even then, exceeding an initial goal by more than 12x (so far!) gets people talking and sounds more impressive than just barely meeting an accurate initial goal.
- It could look kind of lame to not match donations at all, but matching them per-dollar may cause simps/gachis to hold back, so the fact that she's matching based on the initial goal is the best possible idea.
- The org listed on the charity site is @covercharity rather than something like @amewatson, sounds like she may have opened the door for at least the EN talents to do charity streams. Remains to be seen if she actually busted through enough bureaucracy for JP to be able to do them but it's still pretty great.
Ame was pretty popular among JP bros, wasn't she? Wonder if donations will get another big boost once they start waking up.

Imagine spending $10k to advertise your measly 40-followers Twitch account, only to be shoved off the leaderboard shortly after by a random oil baron. Not the greatest investment, makes me laugh.

Language is Japanese, here's the DeepL for a couple of them. Even for a machine translation, it still sounds like the original messages may be total gibberish:

But why AZKi of all people? Hope Youtube rolls out that anti-spam feature from Coco's channel to more people sooner rather than later. She ended her stream after 1 hour, but I won't assume it's related to the spam, Duolingo streams aren't usually terribly long anyway.
In lighter news, Ame built some kind of Zombie ant farm in creative mode (local singleplayer). The zombies are floating up and down and she's got ballet (?) music going on in the background.
Looks funnier in action of course. If you missed it, I'm sure there will be clips.
