Reading the thread and rewatching the episode with Campaign 84 (Had seriously forgot about this golden episode, it's Colecovision part 2 for those interested) and i saw a frame just about when he talked about choosing between the donkey or the elephant, thinking this was some Fight Club-esque insert i put it on 0.25 speed to pinpoint what this screen was. but alas, it was just a mistake from his part, a pic of the scene before, with the badly tied shoelaces. here i thought for a second i was on to something. Auptimistic i say!

Seriously though, wich adult has a problem with shoelaces?

At this point I just want him to retire quietly and let him raise his family
I'm not sure if I want him to retire, but I wouldn't blame him if he does nor would I be real upset.

Maybe it is time, it's been 15 years since he started it as a regular series and only a few years away from 20 years since the Simon's Quest video, maybe that's long enough.

James knew what he was getting into when he sold to Screenwave. I wish he would just shit can it, and do some indie horror films. I imagine supporting his family is a big reason behind his sale.

The best AVGN episodes (to me) were the ones about game consoles I've never heard of (outside of a history book), or the ones around a skit like Crazy Castle, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, or Christmas. I don't like the newer ones because, well, the media of gaming matured, became more accessible (read: not frustrating) and the things that upset the Nerd fall flat to me. Makes him a caricature, as opposed to having some degree of insight and humor.

I wonder if retirement is in the cards now that he's written a book. Does he even have the reach to get a publisher? I expect he'll self publish.
The console episodes were so informative as I didn't know a whole lot about retro consoles back then, it was also great when he would do a really good skit like Texas Chainsaw.

James does because he did a You Know What's Bullshit on Shoelaces?

This is the second thread (that I know about) you've brought up politics for no reason, why do you keep doing it?
I only brought up politics on here because someone else mention it in the thread. I probably should have quoted the comment that brought up politics. I was giving my thoughts on another person's comment.

Mike's girlfriend teetering into titty stream territory.

These two are begging for a thread, aren't they?

As for Bootsy, he wasn't kicked out because of politics, because both Mike and James are liberals too. Mike even liked some tweets in favor of Biden during the inauguration.
This is the quote it's form a couple of days sgo. I hadn't looked on the thread for a couple of days. So I was putting my thoughts into this qoute. I should have quoted it. But I felt lazy. I apologize.

She looks depressed as fuck

I do.

I have like a half dozen shoe laces snap in my hands every year.

So, basically, I have the opposite problem of James. He doesn't tie his laces tight enough. I tie mine too tight.
Here we are in 2021, still lacking hoverboard technology. When are we gonna get Self-Lacing Sneakers become common places like in Back to the future 2,I heard that Nike is slowly starting to incorporate the technology into more of its shoes like Nike’s self-lacing sneakers.

Earlier this year Nike released the newest generation of basketball shoes, with the Adapt BB 2.0s. They are still priced at $350. Not cheap but not totally outrageous. But Nike has begun putting the auto-lacing technology inside more of its shoes. You can get self-tying versions of the Nike Air Huarache. And more recently, the athletic wear giant incorporated them into their Nike Auto Max sneakers. This could be a very big sign of the future of the Adapt technology.

Not only are they both pre-existing models, neither sneaker is designed for athletes. They are both lifestyle shoes. And while both are actually more expensive, costing around $400 for a pair, this could indicate how much mass appeal self-lacing/self-fitting technology will have. Nike likely wouldn’t be expanding the technology if it didn’t provide a comfortable fit. And if auto-lacing shoes are this appealing now, someday the technology could be available in every sneaker. And when that happens the price will come down too.

Someday we all might be wearing self-lacing sneakers tho so I'm hopeful.

I have my doubts there because I took a quick look through your profile and saw this is a pattern with you. I think you're just using that as an excuse because you weren't responding to anything, you were just going "ugh lefties amirite?" And now that no one is agreeing with you, you're trying to walk it back.

I like the console episodes because growing up I never saw a console that wasn't from Nintendo or Sega, aside from the occasional Atari 2600. And the 2600's were usually brought out as curiosity pieces rather than something to seriously play games on.

Not really. I just didn't qoute a comment I was directly putting my thoughts into. I'm regretting it now.

I had heard of Atari 2600, Intellivision and even the CDi and 3DO thanks to TV and magazines, but knew little to nothing about them prior to James' deep dives.

Well, I knew a fair amount about Atari 2600, including how infamously terrible E.T. was prior to James, but for the other consoles I didn't know much.

The Cinemassacre subreddit has decided to go full retard and ban anyone who posts in the Cinemassacre Truth subreddit.:

At this point, it doesn't matter. When the Screenwave guys pay more attention to The Cinemassacre Truth than what's supposed to be the offical Cineamassacre subreddit, it's clear people don't care about that subreddit anymore except for Draco as being a moderator is most likely the most power he has in his life,

I honestly never even heard of those other consoles until years later on the internet. But that's because I grew up in bumfuck nowhere (or close to it) and my parents didn't believe in buying me game magazines (my mom straight up told me to my face they were a waste of money).

I don't recall when I heard about the notorious E.T. game, but I experienced the terribleness of Back to the Future on my own via ROM after seeing a $1 copy at the old game store in the mall. I love the movie and wanted to find out if that $1 would be worth it first and thank god I did, lol.

I'm just gonna say it... i and most of my friends got into the "terrible game bashing" style way before AVGN, he may be a "pioneer" when it comes to making video about it, but hardly on just the pure entertainment in bashing stupid shit from the past, case in point (in case somebody forgot this gem of a site) - http://flyingomelette.com/oddindex.html
