SCP Foundation - Creepypasta with roid rage - now ITT: SCP fans

i’m not sure what you mean when you say “bright’s downfall”. he’s still unbanned and active. that was actually the cause of this conversation.

He isn’t even hiding it. Staff still quietly endorsing that he did nothing wrong.

I see one of two things happening:
1. Admins give in to pressure and ban Bright. There is minor controversy over the length for a response, but general rejoice and an increase in staff trust. People move on. Nothing happens
2. Bright goes inactive. People are still angry, but eventually its been so long that a majority don’t care. A few people are left griping for a symbolic banning, but that’s effectively it. Not much changes.

I think a full scale autism revolution or staff conflict is very unlikely, although it wouldn’t be the first time something like that has happened (see: all of early RPC history)

On the topic of SCPs themselves, what is the general opinion of the Dr. Wondertainment Misters? They're basically a series of humans branded as "misters". They're all male apart from a feminist "miss" named Ms. Sweetie. The way the article is written in general is rather odd. For example, instead of writing that male staff are afflicted and female staff aren't, it's "male-identifying individuals" or "operatives that identify as female".

So what does this imply? That the effects it has on men can be avoided entirely if the man in question "identifies" as female? What extent does this go? Does it require that he is a devout MTF troon or can it go as far as a man who temporarily identifies as female solely to interact with the SCP? How would Ms. Sweetie herself know - does she automatically know someone's gender "identity" just by looking at them?

The SCP isn't that awful in my opinion, I do think that the female mister being a feminist that's extremely possessive about protecting a little girl's barbie dolls is kind of silly but Wondertainment never really took itself seriously in the first place, but good lord in their attempt at including troons and enbies it instead baffles the mind.

Also, in an ironic twist of events, Ms. Sweetie herself might be a troon but I can't confirm this, could just be tranny logic at work here.

I'd assume the person in question has to actually believe it as that's usually what "identifying as X" means. So a weird tumblr gendershifter who one day wakes up and believes he's male only on even hours that are not multiples of 3 might count (depending on how many layers of gender theory they're working with) while a woman just claiming she's male for research purposes would not.

>Being transgender is just self-presentation, like a tattoo.

It's basically confirmed at this point that he was pressured to "resign" from his Admin position, and most everyone in the inner community is at least semi-aware of what he did by this point. Even though he's not banned, I would call that a downfall.
What the Hell does SRS stand for? Shit Reddit Says? Supplemental Restraint Systems? Sex Reassignment Surgery? Simple Revolutionary Solutions? The OP for a thread shouldn't use a vague abbreviation without explaining what they're talking about.
I always assumed it was something furry, but I have no idea. I've tried looking it up and I have yet to find anything helpful.

You hate to see it. I get that he's still popular in many parts of the community, but this guy is a serious danger to the huge swathes of young and impressionable fans that SCP has in offsite communities. As long as staff refuses to publicly acknowledge that Bright did anything wrong, he's going to be able to retain his admirers in the satellite communities, and we all know what that leads to.

this isn’t even a hypothetical. google “TheDuckMan” on TikTok.

Popular canon says that the Little Misters were ordinary people who were turned into Misters against their will*, so Ms. Sweetie being a tranny is ironically hilarious.

It's been a long-ass time since I've read the Little Misters series, so I may be wrong.

djkaktus has resigned from his position as staff liaison after this happened

This just keeps getting better and better. This sort of thin-skin, quitter attitude is why staff talk shit about him in the first place.

As luck would have it, staff are deciding that too many people have seen their private chat logs and know that, while a crybaby, kaktus is right. “Rules for these and not for me.” They took the red herring of a popular user at the height of his celebrity (Rounderhouse) calling them out to pretend that it opened their eyes to this:

Ah yes, I am sure that staff will be able to discipline themselves and will surely hold one another to account, the age of talking shit in the secret channels is forever ended with this simple trick to change a culture overnight.

I mean, is he surprised? These are the people who freely admitted in SCPD that their private chats, ostensibly for important discussion, have been filled with gossip for years.

Given staff's track record, it's almost impossible for me to actually think they'll enforce this with any sort of consistency.
