It's been fun reading their thread on Zelda: BOTW2. Some people are excited, but others are pissed that they weren't watching Zelda doing all the things Link was doing in the trailer. And some are coping, thinking that maybe some of the times Link is less recognizable, it's Zelda.

I won't lie, I totally wouldn't mind Zelda being playable in a Zelda game... but it might be MORE fun watching them rage, and knowing that Nintendo doesn't care about their demands.

People wanting The Legend of Zelda to stop having the core things that make it The Legend of Zelda reminds me of those who back in the early 00s wanted to strip C. S. Lewis stories from its religious subtext. Of course, this doesn't mean Zelda can't be playable, or even have a different skin tone, but I have this suspicious some use this as a Troyan Horse.

They definitely do.

I've seen people on GAF and ERA poised and ready to gloat for when they finally get their female Link... not really because "representation", but because they so badly want something to be taken away from male gamers. They don't really hide it anymore.

The most revelatory thing about people like this, whether it's ERA or GAF or even RPGNet, is to realize almost none of them even play games. If people cater to them they won't buy the content, because their caring about a thing is 100% performative. Once you understand that it all starts to make sense.

I think that was 2 or 3 years ago and she "leaked" that Nintendo had "4 MYSTERIOUS games". And each time that Nintendo revealed a game (remake, port or new), she would say: "See, that the Mistery Game 2 that I talked about".

Every other user would be banned for that. I, too, am leaking that Nintendo will reveal a MYSTERIOUS game this year!


The one time that NCL got things leaked, was because that brush guy watched the Direct before it airs. That retard NateDrake is misleading everyone into believing that he knows.

These people only knows about 3rd parties, when some of their friends listened a rumor. They don't know shit about NCL and pretends that they know. And those retard at resetera still believes the same people who leaked Nintendo 64 mini, the equivalent of "Mario on Playstation" from Xbox, Call of Duty on Switch...

Yeah, Emily Rogers is an ass. For years she's been gloating to the world that she know about secret unannounced games.

And even if she did, who cares? I've really come to despise leakers. Especially after Laura Kate Dale. They ruin elaborate reveal plans just for their own little momentarily thrill. Luckily it's starting to ruin their careers. It's one of the reasons Dale can't hold a good job anymore and Rogers doesn't really leak stuff anymore.

Asian's have always valued androgynous beauty. It's been in art for centuries. Just because a dude looks like a chick doesn't make him trans. It seems like people getting into Trek now have this idealized image of Trek fans from like the 70s forming tight knit communities because back then nerdy shit wasn't cool and nerds kind of had to stick together because they were outcasts. Now all that shit is mainstream and everyone watches scifi or fantasy or whatever and there is no need for whatever weird nostalgic image they have in their head of what a "fandom" is supposed to be and anything outside of that is "gatekeeping."
