LotGH is great but damn it is consistently and utterly retarded when it comes to space combat. Have read a lot of real life military history which makes LotGH particularly painful to watch when the series switches from political slice of life to action.
Well, Galactic Heroes is technically getting remade as we speak with Die Neue These and its upcoming follow-up, and everything of that looks pretty good from what I've seen of it.
Due to very recent developments the Macross franchise in its entirety should be coming to the U.S.A. as Sony strong armed Studio Nue and Tatsunoko &Harmony Gold (Robotech) into playing nice with each other. I'm surprised the Bad Batch didn't set a trap to kidnap him and forcibly remove the chip. If it were me, I'd lure Crosshair into a trap in a downed Republic cruiser so we can kidnap him and use the cruiser's med facilities to remove his chip. We get one guy, the Imps get zilch.
Still dont know why the bad batch is a "special unit" instead of being called a commando squad. they use the same equipment and have a similar story to the Imperial commando novels at this point. Minus the Mandalorian culture.
They're a special unit due to their mutations and special tactics. They don't fight like other Clone Commando squads. You send in Delta Squad when you have a battle plan with odds calculated to the fourth decimal point and you want it done right. You send in Clone Force 99 when you want everyone dead and you're willing to not ask questions.
To be fair it was a few thousand years between KOTOR's neo crusaders and the Modern "True" Mandalorians like Jaster Mereel and Jango Fett. Not the boring Pacifists you are referencing.
Even with their mutations, they don't ever feel like a special unit, just clones with a gimmick.
Also to anyone else who actually played Republic commando, Delta squad took out more droids and trando mercs (yes the multiple types of infinitely spawning droid despensers count) and even single handedly repelled boarding parties from a Lucrehulk in multiple hangars on an Acclamator , eventually driving off the coreship with only 2 Acclamators. They also destroyed a recusant destroyer with only 4 AA turrets at Kachiro and other actions that top Bad batch.

Based on some shitty interview, Book of Boba Fett is implied to be some sort of prequel telling Jango's life between ROTJ and Mando with some parts taking place in the present which not be based on any of pre-existing survival tales on Tatooine. I'm sure Filoni will try and come up with some bullshit explanation about why he waited a decade to get his armor back while forcing in cameos out the wazoo again since Mando Season 2 proved that Filoni has more creative control than Favreau now, which is a shame since Favreau was the only reason Mando was even entertaining.
Its just another example of the writing inconsistencies in this shit. They want to keep the whole chip bullshit because "muh clone OCs did nothing wrong" but they want to also write Crosshair like a pre-chip retcon clone and have him be the coldhearted traitor that faithfully believes in his military duty.

Exactly. The big one could just be a clone who spent more time exercising, the smart one looks like he could just have a shitty diet and studied more, the cyborg one is just a cyborg, the leader looks no different than any other clone, and the evil one just looks like he's older and eats less than the rest. So the only one that feels like a genetic alteration/mutation is the girl.
