Every now and then I sometimes feel like we fought on the wrong side in WW2 and it's an awful feeling.
It really is awful, you go your whole life being told a certain group were the most evil people in human history only to later go "were they really that bad?"
I think it really is a case of the Nazis were not as bad as we're lead to believe, it's more a case of "well intentions" gone awry than the mustache twirling villains they're portrayed as today, but of course that makes sense, of course the greatest of evils are going to be perpetuated by those who think they're doing good, the same can be said about the Soviets and today's SJWs.
So that's what the Nazis and SJWs actually have in common, they've both so gripped by the mania of their own righteousness that they refuse to listen to any criticism and that's how people wind up in death camps for the "greater good", maybe the answer is getting off that merry go round and making people understand that kind of mania in general and how to avoid it.
But then you also think of the fact that almost every single American who fought in WW2, if they took one look at modern America, would probably in an instant go "yeah, no, I'm with the other guys" and you also think of the fact that it really does seem like the only thing that's going to change an SJW's mind is a bullet (in Minecraft), you keep anting to hope for some sort of rationality in every human mind but it just seems like humans simply aren't that rational a species.
They want to push you to these extremes because it makes you the extremist and someone they can pin everything on from then on. All we had to do was gatekeep our organizations, our hobbies, friend groups, etc. But we didn't do that thus these people invaded every level of most institutions, most importantly those with the power to make change in countries.
I guess what I should have said is nationalism, the only way the US can survive is if we all take the stance that anyone who disrespects the flag needs to get the fuck out of the country, there has to be
something to bridge the gap between the "diverse" groups that make up America, otherwise we get what we have now which is endless splintering.
That's the only way any society is going to survive is if everyone is on a fundamental way on the same team.
At any rate, it's just clear that there's more value to right wing thought than this old former liberal thought, the hippy dippy, Mr Rogers dream is fucking dead, people simply aren't that nice and aren't going to ever be that nice to each other, it sounds good, but it's 100% out of lockstep with human nature.
