Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

Jeez, even New York is ending their state of emergency and here in MN they just extended it for another month. They've rescinded the mask requirements so things are mostly back to normal though, and the emergency status lets me keep working from home, so I'm slightly conflicted.

Nah, they still get two senators and have to play by electoral college rules like everyone else (as much as they hate it). And West Coast-style liberals are less common on the East Coast, even if NYC and Boston were ground zero for San Francisco style shit decades ago. Culturally, someone in Boston or NYC meeting one of these weirdos is more likely to tell them to fuck off and mind their own business than just let them be obnoxious dickheads, even if they believe almost all the same shit. New England, New York, and New Jersey are places it's totally acceptable to be rude to some weirdo sticking their nose into your business. I guess it sucks to be the South, where crazy people from around the country are settling and the cultural ideal is politeness.
Southern politeness is conditional. The culture also glorifies violence and still has some concept of honor and machismo. It's a very different sort of politeness than Canadian or Scandinavian politeness, it's a mask and when provoked the mask comes off and you're much more likely, I'd say, to have a fight on your hands - or be shunned - if you don't toe the line.

You know the saying "an armed society is a polite society"? That's the gist. It's the product of a mixture of English gentry and Scotch and Borderer frontiersmen. Politeness is necessary to prevent constant bloodshed.

Seriously pls halp?

Edit: Seriously seriously: please explain this to me. I am very, very confused and don't know what to think any more

I think there are more things in msm about negative reactions to the covid vaccines in the last days. Actual deaths, periods, heart probs etc.

It is like watching a baby take its first tentative steps.
Of course, they'll never take any blame for promoting this harm.

This news is a bit old but the media is trying their best to debunk the rumors about airlines companies who refused people who got vaccine-chan.

CoronaCheck #65

In this week's newsletter, we debunk claims that vaccinated people will be barred from flying because of blood-clot fears and investigate whether COVID-19 vaccines have been tested on animals.

We also fact check a "fact check" by Senator Matthew Canavan, and give our verdict on a claim from unlikely bedfellows Malcolm Turnbull and Kevin Rudd.

Airlines aren't banning vaccinated travellers

Qantas CEO Alan Joyce previously raised hackles with his suggestions that proof of vaccination against COVID-19 could become a requirement for international travel. But new claims spreading online suggest it may actually be those who are vaccinated who will be barred from flying.

"I heard from someone who has contacts inside the [unnamed] airline and they are now discussing that the injected should not be allowed to fly," one Facebook post reads.

"Because the injection creates clots and bleeding and that is life threatening — when it happens at several thousand meters altitude. So the airlines do not want to risk being sued and have deaths on board."

Both Qantas and Virgin Australia confirmed to Fact Check that no such bans were being considered.

In an email, a spokeswoman for Qantas said the airline had "never said anything about not allowing vaccinated travellers onboard" and pointed Fact Check to a November 2020 media release outlining the airline's vaccination policy.

A spokesman for Virgin Australia told Fact Check that the airline would "continue to consider relevant government and health advice around vaccination", making "any decisions in line with passenger and crew health and safety".
But imagine if these rumors came true, just to see how the msm in panic mode will try to debunk this.

lol I thought it was white supremacy?

Or wait no.... It was Republicans!

Wait, wait, wait, I got it, it's "misinformation" and questioning the narrative. Or was that the greatest threat to the entire world?

Its like a fucking sales pitch: "NEW! Now with a different flavor! Bigger packaging and BIGGER product! SIX different colors! Ribbed for your pleasure while we fuck you hard!"

I thought he was supposed to be baysed. Putin too.
I personally think he's just botched the response to the coof pretty badly and is trying to recover using his good old strong man rhetoric. Thing is, it's one thing saying you're gonna gun down methhead scum no one gives a shit about, it's another thing to say the same thing about normal citizens who are worried about the vaccine's potential risks to their health. Doesn't really matter anyway, we're having our elections next year.

I got the first shot of Moderna on Saturday because fuck it. Sunday I started a gnarly period, after barely having one for the past 3-4 months due to the birth control I'm on (periods typically get lighter/shorter the longer you're on the kind I take). My period has been kick-started by vaccines before, so in general this side effect is not weird to me--most recently the flu shot this year made my period come 2 weeks early--but what is weird is how heavy it was and how long I had cramps for. It was basically like a normal period I would have had before I started birth control. The cramps weren't the worst I've had, but they were stronger than I've had in a long time. I usually only get them for the first day, but this time they lasted for 2 whole days. There was also a LOT of uterine lining--I honestly can't remember ever seeing so much in the 2 decades or so that I've been menstruating. Thankfully it's been tapering off normally and hasn't been any longer than my usual periods. It's really suspicious to me that menstrual side effects weren't reported until ages after mass vaccinations started and so many women started speaking up about it. All I heard was that some women got pregnant during the phase 2 trials, but nothing else. Nothing about early or heavier periods or miscarriages.

Now for something a little more palatable:
Early genomic sequences from Wuhan were uploaded to NIH database, then deleted a few months later.
The study:

Nothing wrong with that if you enjoy it as a pure work of fiction and don't try to get hot political takes from it.

Explanation 1) those muzzles were because of the patriarchy or something, a way to signify women are property or second-class citizens or some shit; while THESE muzzles are to signify that you're a good little citizen who lives in a society

Explanation 2) these same people would wear a damn MAGA hat if they believed that it would protect them from the mega-deadly doom virus

Explanation 3) dont ask for logical reasoning from illogical people

Since almost everyone in my family got the jab (Pfizer), they're trying to convince me to take the jab too. I don't trust mRNA vaccines too much since they're still new.
But when I tell them this, they say "The first vaccines were new at that time too. What's the difference?"
I tell them "They're not tested and it could be dangerous." and they say "Covid is dangerous too. Why should you risk it?"
I remind them that they were the same people who refused to take the Swine Flu Vaccine because it wasn't tested. Then they say "That's not the same thing."
I show them the news about people who died from the vaccine, they either say "It's probably a coincidence." or "The deaths are probably a minority." and then they call me a conspiracy theorist.
I just can't argue with them.
Then tell them as much next time they badger you about it.

"No I won't get it."
"Why?"
"You won't fucking listen to me anyway, so no."

"No" is one of the most powerful N words in the world.

In the early days people were telling tales of women having miscarriages and fetal deaths but those people were being hushed up and called conspiracy-theorist-fear-mongerers.

Hmm.

Yeah I remember seeing rumors of those early on, but a lot of the menstrual side effects were being written off as coincidence or the women being stressed about getting the vax or the pandemic in general (still are)--not that the vax was causing them itself. Not to get all radfem but that's basically going back to telling women they're hysterical and you know their bodies better than they do. And a lot of women fell for it. But in the past month or two I've been seeing a lot more women just being straight up like, "No, I know my menstrual cycle, this is not normal and I'm genuinely worried." I really hope they're not just posting about it on the internet and seeing their doctors and reporting it to VAERS or something, anything. :optimistic:

The Houston Methodist employees who filed the lawsuit likened their situation to medical experiments performed on unwilling victims in Nazi concentration camps during World War II. U.S. District Judge Lynn Hughes called that comparison “reprehensible” and said claims made in the lawsuit that the vaccines are experimental and dangerous are false.

In other words the nurse pointed out the fact that the nuremberg code of medical ethics quite clearly states that its a serious crime to engage in forcing non consensual human experimentation and a fair number of german doctors were executed for being a part of it, and the judge and/or media twisted that around to mean 'we're being experimented on like jews in the camps!'

Since there are currently no fully tested, officially approved vaccines (and this is explicitly admitted to even on the pfizer website), by definition every single person who is taking it is a human test subject for an experimental vaccine. The judge doesn't know what shes talking about in this case because it is very, very illegal to force or otherwise coerce a person to act as an experimental human test subject under literally any circumstances. Now hospitals can mandate certain immunizations as a condition of employment, but by law that can only apply to tested and fully approved vaccines. None of the vaccines in question meet that legal requirement yet. It is all kinds of illegal, and per US and international law, a major civil rights violation to attempt to, in any manner, coerce someone into taking an unapproved, not fully tested drug of any kind. Vaccine or otherwise. Participation in human trials of any drug or medical procedure must be 100% informed and 100% voluntary by law. The judge, and every lawyer involved in this case should be well aware of this fact. Yet the judge doesn't even seem to be aware that the existing vaccines are not even officially approved yet
