I don't know that I've ever commented on and/or seen this addressed before but I've always noticed that Cosmo has this really overly animated smile. It's like the autism won't allow him to smile naturally but he is enjoying himself (or at least wants to appear as such), and thinks hey, a normal human would smile at this current time and that is what I too will do. The best I can describe it is to picture someone posing for a photo they don't want to be posing for, for way too long, that is forcing a very heavily over-exxagerated smile. That's how Cosmo Smiles. I never thought I'd say this because I dislike Cosmo deeply as a person, but there is a part of me that does feel bad for him after finding out more about his family situation. He never really had much of a chance. His mom has been a drugged-out gibs grifting whore for the majority, if not all, of his life, his dad isn't much better. His complete meltdown after the break up makes a lot more sense when you look at it through the lense of his ex and her family being one of the few contacts with normalcy and stability that's he's ever had in his life. He is unable to make any head way in improving his own life because the things he would need to do are so alien to him. It would take years of intensive therapy to even get him the basic building blocks and to understand the concepts of being functional because his druggie parents failed him so badly. Or doing away with gibs all together, facing literal starvation is a great motivator, but that won't happen. The guy's fucked, and honestly he was always fucked.

I think it's perfectly normal to feel that way for a lot of cows. Plenty of cows never had a chance whether it was their life circumstances or a crippling mental health diagnosis like schizophrenia. The limit for me comes when they're adults who choose to make self-destructive decisions and act like complete pricks to people who want to help them. You are the only person who can change you. At some point you have to make an effort to change and seek help if you can't do it on your own. His big change was to troon out.
Cosmo is far from the only person with a terrible upbringing. Some people can make it past that. Some can't. Would Cosmo have fared any better if trooning out hadn't risen to prominence as an acceptable way to reinvent yourself? Being a tranny is a convenient excuse to run away from your problems these days. Would an any of these troons have stuck with their lives and tried to figure out their problems if there wasn't a such a quick and easy reset button to abandon your kids or give in to a life of coom?
I think Cosmo would have become another run of the mill junkie, personally. That may have been an easier pit to crawl out of given that society doesn't champion you for being a dope addict.
Ok so here we go, Cosmo really loses his shit when you talk about his family but I thought this was interesting given the last 2 comments about his upbringing so I wanted to share. It's obvious that Cosmo's mother and her brother (his uncle Phil) are pieces of dog shit. She is an addict that is useless and has been her entire life, and is now just enabling him to do the same. He gets his entitlement from her (amongst other things). However, the guy I believe is his dad (Greg Wright) is fairly active on Twitter (at least re-tweeting) and at one point retweeted someone named Jeffrey Wright. Jeffrey Wright, from Wisconsin, is a fucking ROCK STAR. The dude is a fucking PHd candidate at motherfucking OXFORD! I don't know if Jeffrey is a cousin, 2nd cousin, distant relative or what, but my spider sense tells me he is related to Cosmo. If one of you guys wants to e-mail him you can but I don't want to get that involved.

They out themselves semi-regularly, especially the newfriends. A lot of the time it's in the real fucked up freak threads like Pauly Unstoppable or when a bad one comes up in Tranny Sideshow they'll pipe up with "I'm a tranny, but this shit is fucked". I'm willing to bet there are a single digit percentage of active user trannies. Far higher than the general population. I used to think it was as high as 10% 3-4 years ago, but the userbase has grown in subforums like Internet Famous that aren't going to be full of them like say Animal Control.
Plenty of troons surf the Farms while seething and dilating as well.

100% agree. I think part of the sadness of the situation is knowing that even if he hadn't trooned out, it would have been something else, likely becoming an addict like you said. My sympathy does remain limited because Cosmo does nothing to try to improve or change himself or enter the normal world, even when people give him specific advice or even when he himself has moments of clarity where he admits troonery, speedrunning, and drugs have gotten him nothing. He probably was going to have a lot of failures and hardship no matter what road his life took because of his homelife growing up, but his stubborn refusal to learn from his mistakes or even try for basic things like getting a job because he thinks it's below him is his own fault.

I don't know, for me the fact that he had some positive influences in his life kills it even more. If he knew nothing but shit, I wouldn't blame him, but he had a taste of good life and instead of ripping into it with his teeth and nails when it began drifting away, he's just given up, just like someone like Spoony.

Narcissa's 'ex', Vanity is currently detransitioning, having seen some sort of clarity. They claimed to be feeling good about it on the most recent youtube video. I don't believe Cosmo is truly trans either. It was just a form of radical attempt to escape their old life. I think they mat fair a bit better if they detransitioned tbh.
