AC130's are a very large example of a modern military problem, time on Station. China can have all the Aircraft, all the Drones, all the weapons they want in the air, but if they can't keep them in the air, near where they are needed most, they won't help much. And China doesn't really have the operations history to show they can actually do that. America might not have learned a lot of lessons from the middle east, but what they did learn was how to turn anything into an airfield in six weeks, and how to turn two rocks and a bottle of water into a FOB.
All the "preemptive wipe out a city" stuff isn't really worth addressing. Not because its not possible, quite the contrary, but once you put "abject, shameless war crimes" on the standard operating table, most military doctrine goes out the window in favor of "How long will it take us to get to a 90% civilian casualty rate". And we all know China has some level of chemical and biological weapons programs. Absolute destruction is a completely different military problem from occupation and utilization.
I really don't want to wish ill on 160 million americans, but there's a serious part of me that wants this vaccine to just go nightmarish in six months. I want to see Kamala drop a smiling cackle at a press report over the developing side effects and try and justify it.
But really, this doesn't track for me. If my friend is worried about the coof, he can go get the vaccine. I'm not obligated, nor am I inclined to, put my life in additional risk for others, when the risk ratios are so low all around. Vaccines aren't gonna go supercancer as much as it would amuse me, but when we ran the math with my doc, I'm at twice the risk of vaccine issues than covid issues. So Kamala, please fuck off.
