I'm honestly surprised Chris is closing it, thought they would've had it up to milk more money. But they reached their goal.

I mean, he milked 5 times the original goal, not too shabby! It's a good sign that he's not leaving it open indefinitely, shows some forward thinking on either his part or, more likely, Null's.

If it were left open indefinitely, Chris could easily get overwhelmed with orders physically, or simply by struggling to comprehend it mentally, and have a meltdown, perhaps even refusing to do them anymore. This would lead to unfulfilled orders and returned money, be completely demotivating for Chris, and would probably mean Null wouldn't help him after Barb dies.
