what I know is, Garnt Maneetapho is his real name and "Gigguk" was/is his family nickname. Grant is the meme name due to its usal autocorrection and the annoyance when it comes to the person himself.Wait, Garnt is his real name? I thought THAT was the meme name.
It hasnt even been a week, calm down. And the repetitive repertoire seems to be a Cover/Holo issue, Nijisanji singers have a larger repertoire and usually keep their archives up.Don’t mind me, I’m just about to vent here.
I still don’t understand what is the point of vsinger if she doesn’t sing any English songs. They should have just put IRyS together with AZKi and put Gura as both HoloEN and ENVsinger. It’s even more puzzling to me that people actually pay to listen to an anime girl singing to generic anime songs that have been sung to death by other anime girls.
The holoEN0 is gone for good, so I can only hope that HoloEN2 will have someone with interesting talent like Gura, Ina, or Callie. Otherwise, it’s just gonna be a seiso version of vshojo.
I also get the impression that he may be a Christian as well since he's hinted at being pretty familiar with gospel music and has pointed out songs like Towa's Error cover using similar tunes and melodies. So the whole "married man being shipped with a fox girl" fiasco was definitely a big no-no for him lol.He seemed like he was enjoying it when he was doing the songs before. People started shipping him with Fubuki which made him pretty uncomfortable as a married man. Good to see him doing it again. His play along of Reflect was awesome.
Japanese Company - their main audience is still Japs + EOPs who like Japanese adjacent stuffDon’t mind me, I’m just about to vent here.

Probably because they wanted her first karaoke to be archived, so that people could get a better picture of what her singing is like. And archived means you play by Susan's rules and stick to songs you have the rights to use.I still don’t understand what is the point of vsinger if she doesn’t sing any English songs. Even if Marine really does sound like that normally and isn't forcing a character voice, excessive talking without proper care/preventative measures can still result in long-term damage to the vocal cords. This isn't the first time we're hearing about a talent having issues with their throat, either, which really makes me wonder why Cover doesn't seem to bother with getting the girls proper vocal training. Then again, I guess it's not surprising that they haven't been proactive in that department considering how the traditional Japanese idol industry isn't much better in that regard. I'm really glad Suisei decided to stop forcing the cute voice and started talking/singing more naturally too; I'm guessing after talking with her doctor she realized that if she wants to keep doing this long-term and grow her singing career she needs to actually take better care of her voice. There's this interview she did in May with Toko, Chima, and Tamaki where she talked about how she only took singing lessons once and then stopped because it was bothersome, and learning how to sing is boring, or something along those lines. It's kind of a bummer to hear her say that, since even if the way she's singing sounds good now, if she's using improper technique it could end up hurting her down the line.Thank god it isn't something too bad. I love the boomer pirate.
You think it's the case like Suisei, where her streaming voice is hurting her throat in the long run? But every Holomems and associate confirm that Marine irl sound exactly the same as when she's streaming.
First of all, why would Gura be the ENVSinger. She's great yes but wouldn't Calli be a better choice in this hypothetical, since she's actually a professional musician.Don’t mind me, I’m just about to vent here.

I'm reminded of this shitshow from a few years back regarding AKB48 where they tried selling "date tickets."
Probably the latter since they think English songs with tits, asses, violence, get arrest or go to jail are good music. They probably thinking WAP is a godly and divine songs as well.It is weird that there are already some people complaining about IRyS's karaoke stream, and the complaints are all the same, her singing japanese songs. She's only debuted for a week, cut her some slack, especially when she already announced she has lots of projects going on right now.
It did make me curious though. Either the people ranting are just plain idiots, or just contrarians being nitpicky about her. Or, and forgive me for saying this, some people just don't like japanese songs in the first place
Jesus christ. I don't even know who these are and those prices are high as fuck. But i guess there will always be a simp willing to pay anything just for a little attention.
At first, I thought that it was pretty dumb to make a big deal out of it but I guess under that context it makes a bit of sense.I also get the impression that he may be a Christian as well since he's hinted at being pretty familiar with gospel music and has pointed out songs like Towa's Error cover using similar tunes and melodies. Singing is one thing, but hours of talking while streaming is another. I honestly hope too that they invest in their vocal coaches because they can be guided as to how to maintain their vocal quality in both singing and speaking despite the circumstances of their lifestyle. Imo, Sora seems like someone who studied/attended proper voice lessons despite her nasally thin voice.Even if Marine really does sound like that normally and isn't forcing a character voice, excessive talking without proper care/preventative measures can still result in long-term damage to the vocal cords. Interview here (no subbed version, unfortunately), that part starts around 9:20 if the timestamp doesn't work:
I honestly wish the girls would be more serious about getting lessons and learning how to avoid vocal strain. It's bad enough that a lot of them seem to feel the need to talk in a cutesy voice, but there's also pressure to sing popular songs that have tons of high notes or require belting (Unravel, King, Error, etc.), and I'm sure most of the girls are just straining their way through it (looking at you, Towa). Developing vocal nodules (basically callouses on your vocal cords) or polyps is a real worry for people whose livelihoods depend on their voice, since if it's severe enough it can actually affect your vocal range -- in the worst cases, you'll need surgery to remove them. Usually nodules can go away with extended periods of rest, but the girls most at risk for this are probably also the ones who refuse to take long enough breaks to recover. Especially after learning that IRyS is a self-taught singer as well, if Cover isn't going to bother hiring a vocal coach on staff I'd at least like them to hire a girl who's had actual long-term vocal training, if only so she can advise the others on how to stop killing their throats all the damn time.
Just my two cents, but maybe if we were to categorize these girls, there should be an ENVSinger, ENVProducer, ENtertainers, and ENPerformer. IRyS sounds more of a performer with her style and song selections, Gura's more of just the usual singing, and Calli produces music.First of all, why would Gura be the ENVSinger. She's great yes but wouldn't Calli be a better choice in this hypothetical, since she's actually a professional musician.
Secondly, it's an archived karaoke; obviously she can't sing English songs, they don't have rights or permission to do it.
Are they marketed her as "a singer who sings in English" or as "a singer who speaks English"?To be fair, expecting a singer who's marketed as singing in english, to sing in english is reasonable. Are people getting too much sand in their vag over it? Yes, but they are not wrong in principle.
Gura does have a better voice than Cali though or atleast to me it feels more suited for the whole idol/pop type of songs.First of all, why would Gura be the ENVSinger. She's great yes but wouldn't Calli be a better choice in this hypothetical, since she's actually a professional musician.

All of this stuff reminds me of people complaining about HoloEN songs being majority Japanese and talking about Calli's being English. The person writing Calli's songs is herself because she's a musician. The others are written by Cover people who speak only a little English as the other girls consist of a meme lord, a cosplayer, a let's player, and a Twitter artist. Of course non-Calli songs will be mostly Japanese, it just makes sense.Gura does have a better voice than Cali though or atleast to me it feels more suited for the whole idol/pop type of songs.
