There's literally clips of Miki playing Tekken 7 at a pretty damn high online Rank. Not sure if anyone else knows how Tekken ranks look, but she was in like the 9th Dan+ area which requires some pretty high competence at the game and knowing your matchups.
9th Dan/Kyu would actually be pretty much the bottom; ranks start out from numbered Kyus, then numbered Dans, and past that point that's where the main ranks begin. Unfortunately the only archives I could find were on the bugman site, but they're there, I guess. From what I've seen, she seems to mostly play Noctis at around an Usurper-Destroyer range, and was seemingly picking up Kunimitsu. Both characters were fairly controversial in the community last time I checked, and Destroyer honestly isn't a terribly high rank (excluding the numbered ranks, it's somewhere around the middle), but it's still infinitely better than what my shitty ass could do with Eliza.
As far as the MV, I did expect to like it since it's Teddyloid, and I definitely did like it, plus the girls' vocals were pretty neat. Still, I guess I kinda expected more from Teddyloid in a way; the chorus just didn't seem to fit too well, I guess. More importantly, the MV honestly felt average at best, and maybe I'm just retarded, but both the lyrics and the MV storytelling make no sense to me.
The glitchy instrumental during the "Black Out!" part fucking rules and Selen gets a rap verse and nails thatshit.
Thats 2/2 NijiEn songs that are finna live rent free in my head for a while!
Not too excited about any of the niji en gen2 girls individually so far, but the preview of the song seems like a banger!
I also realise I might be in the minority, but the rosemi/petra/finana type voices that lots of vtuber put on really grates at my ears. I don't know how people can watch full streams of it.

True but you gotta remember they are streaming on SusanTube the smallest shit can get you demonetized and banned and that's not something every company would like to deal with
So Selen and Rosemi are pretty much confirmed to be Dokibird and Miki respectively, right? Is Petra Shachimu like people believe? Because I did see her Twitter account is still somewhat active right now.
Petra is probably someone on twitter known as _rei1026. She used to be an utaite from what I understand and she's got a youtube channel but there's nothing else I can find on her. I guess there's no reason to believe me on any of this but a friend of mine confirmed that she used to be mutuals with Rei and Petra's list of otome games is what tipped her off.
The more you bring up the DJ idea, the more I want it myself. Not necessarily just to make internal music producing easier but I really wanna see if COVER can pull off finding somebody that can actually make streaming the music making process interesting/engaging. Calli straight up dropped streaming herself working in her DAW, so there's a hole that needs filling. Not to mention we need more genre variety.
I've said something similar earlier in this monstrosity of a thread, I'm hoping for HoloEN2 to have some different type of creative vtubers that do stuff other than the usual gaming and singing jpop and anime songs. Something like DJing or music production, remixing or composing music on the spot, some sort of art that is different from Ina, improv jam sessions.. Some times I like to go into Twitch's "music" , "arts" or "crafting" sections and throw my monthly free Twitch prime sub to some creative streamer who is actually trying to produce art and not relying on their tits. There are a lot of candidates out there Hololive could recruit besides the usual indie vtuber types.

Dan and Kyu are not the same thing. You'll find that the named Titles (Mentor and onward) still have a numbered Dan ranking. That's why True Tekken God is 35th Dan and Tekken God Prime is 100th Dan. I simply couldn't remember the names of the title she was, and saying 'Oh she has a green title' would be the least insightful thing I could've possibly mustered.
But yes, she was in the Greens and that takes a certain level of competency regardless of who you play. It's not her fault that peoples' response to new DLC characters was to throw a tantrum over them being 'broken' rather than simply learning how to deal with them. Leroy and Kunimitsu were tough customers but Noctis was easy as fuck to figure out.
Either way, the statement that she just put it there to 'pad out her games' and 'Hasn't touched them in her past life' is maliciously disingenuous to anyone with any experience with Miki.
Not saying @RiverBear has been posting negatively about Miki deliberately or with Ill-intent, but wherever they've been getting their Miki info from has been from a source pretty adamant on painting her in as bad a light as humanly possible for no discernable reason.
I'll never really fight opinions such as 'I don't like her voice/content' because that's a personal thing, but 'Miki/Rosemi is a Pump-'n'-Dumping, backstabbing gamer fraud who has an awful reputation in the community' is a reality that only exists in whatever Chuuni space these takes are originating from.

This "watch out for Rose she'll pump-n-dump NijiEN" shit is giving me flashbacks to the same sort of stuff happening to Luna aka Moruru from Nijisanji Gamers who had the same sort of shitty rrat floating around when she joined Hololive and antis constantly hammering "Luna is just going to Pump and Dump Holo like she did to Nijisanji. She did it a billion times before and she'll do it again". Considering Miki collabed pretty often with Mint (Pomu) and Nova (Elira) I'm sure she's fine.

She's definitely higher than that, I saw her in yellow/orange, and those are a "tier" and two "tiers" ahead respectively. I'd honestly argue green doesn't really take that much competency, mostly since I got there, and I'm horrible at Tekken. If anything, there are certain characters that you could likely get a higher rank with while putting in noticeably less effort, and Leroy was certainly one of them. I'm not sure if Kunimitsu was one of them as well, but I do remember her being messy to fight against.
With that said, it's always pretty cool to see the game being done by a Vtuber, although it makes me worry whether a Tekken stream would attract hack kiddies. I know they allegedly got something done regarding anticheat, but considering this is the same dev team that banned Lidia pirates by putting an easily self-editable/removable week-long ban on their locally-stored save, I don't trust how inept they seem to be.
Just saw this. Top part was already posted, bottom part is different View attachment 2356574
I hope that 'talking negatively' doesn't include criticism, because I have a bit to say about this. I'll try to respect Pippa's wishes and not be too harsh on management.
Her being wrangled this hard baffles me. I'm now under the assumption that Phase Connect management doesn't understand what Pippa's appeal is. It would be one thing if she decided to tone things down on her own terms, but that really doesn't appear to be the case at all.
My main confusion is this: Why are they now wrangling her so hard over this? I would understand if she was only told she couldn't do any more streams similar to the BaB one out of precaution, since it could be argued that it violated YouTube's overbearing and stupid 'Bullying and Harassment Guidelines'. But the thing is, they're taking even more steps further than just that. As pointed out earlier in the thread, she didn't even know if she was allowed to say the word "church" anymore. They've privated a couple of her streams/videos, and they've even taken away her Ram Ranch privileges. As Pippa said, management wants her to be more 'seiso' and 'positive' now.
This is incredibly dumb. Motherfuckers, if you want Pippa to be 'seiso', then you shouldn't have let her openly talk to fucking 4chan and cultivate an audience of anons and Kiwis in the first place.
If their goal was to have a somewhat generic seiso VTuber who is severely limited on what they can say and do, then they really should've just done that from the beginning. But nope, they've decided to nerf her now after she's already gotten a following. What's the point in advertising on 4chan and cultivating a viewerbase of anons if you're just going to nerf the talent after a certain period of time anyways?
One of Pippa's main appeals was the fact that she spoke her mind freely and was barely wrangled at all. She talked about all sorts of "yabai" things (people, sites, things, etc.) all the time on stream, and seemingly had no filter. She was basically allowed to just be herself. What does management expect her fans to do when they take away one of her main hooks? Do they really expect no pushback? What is the point of limiting her so harshly over one stream potentially 'crossing the line'?
Pippa, if you're reading this, none of this is your fault, and we will continue to support you. All of us here hope that management realizes their mistake and lets you regain your freedom, or at the very least that you and them reach a compromise that is good for both parties.
Also, if anyone has an archive of the BaB stream, please post it. I wasn't joking about potentially collecting information about the community for a thread. That stream is the best collection of information about the community that exists so far, and it would genuinely suck if it was lost forever.
Edit: It's more than just a couple things that are gone. Here is a list of VODs/videos that are gone, courtesy of /pcg/. I've double checked and made sure they are right.
-"Cutest Rabbit's Final Fantasy" (FF14 Stream)
-"sodium fluoride" (Shitpost)
-"Cutest Rabbit Plays Darkwood"
-"Cutest Rabbit's Fantasy Anime Life" (Mabinogi Stream)
-"Cutest Rabbit Keeps You Company" (BaB incident)
might be more. tell me if i'm missing anything, and I'll update this.
It seems like this literally just happened. Yuni Luna, Pippa's roommate/other persona, has made her Twitter public for the first time in a little while. We've mentioned Yuni a little bit in this thread before, but her Twitter was private up until literally less than a few hours ago. This is seen in @Airless's post from 2 and a half-ish hours ago, in which the account is still shown as private.
If you want to look around the account and archive some shit, now's your chance.
(Archive of the first page of the account. Not much of substance here on this page, but eh.)
There's probably more interesting stuff to find here, but I don't have the willpower to shift through an entire Twitter account right now.
I bet there's gonna be rrats about how the Twitter going public again must be a sign that Pippa's graduation is imminent or some shit, since the timing is pretty perfect.

I guess there's no reason to believe me on any of this but a friend of mine confirmed that she used to be mutuals with Rei and Petra's list of otome games is what tipped her off.
That's a good find. I did some lite digging myself and found that Rie does in fact have an obsession for Otome games, however she has also made her own music inspired by Pixel Horror - a genre of video game Petra claims to hate.
On top of that, there's no indication that Rie was ever good at graphic design or animating even though the could draw, but Petra states she made a lot of the graphics for OBSYDIA which falls a lot more inline with Shachimu.
To be honest, their speaking and singing voices, as well as their artstyle, are both so similar that it's really hard to tell which one is which. They both have an active presence on twitter using their personal account, and they both have English as their native tongue with Japanese as their secondary.
Here again, a brief search of Cierra's V-Tuber channel displays that she almost exclusively played Horror games - a genre Petra claims to hate, and it would be a weird thing to lie about given she's already beaten the 'big' Western horror games people tune in for (Outlast, Layers of Fear, Alien: Isolation). Shachimu has played Phasmophobia with Bao but I'd hardly consider it the same kind of horror as intense single-player games. I don't know why, if it's Rie, she wouldn't just say she's shit-scared of horror but enjoys playing them.
This is to say nothing of the fact that Shachimu locked her V-Tuber twitter account despite being an Indie with no rules or real motive to do so, whilst Cierra remains up.
Best bet would be to figure out what timezone Shachimu is on. If she's anywhere but Asia then it's not her.
Update: So Petra tweeted that she was going to sleep and 'waking up' to her debut about 14 hours ago from this post, which would place her at around 1am JST. However, Shachimu was active and awake during this time.
However, checking Shachimu's likes, she has liked a lot of V-Tuber fanart but most specifically has she recently liked art of OBSYDIA and Petra. Rie RT'ing music and tweets of Nijisanji members isn't out of the ordinary when you're an Utaite, and liking art of the new V-Tuber group isn't out of the ordinary when you're an artist who likes V-Tubers. Maybe they're two halves of the same super-entity?

Should be fine just avoid using hypothetical examples with the word "dead" or "death" that might cause the bots to flag your posts as death threats and get you perma banned. Also avoid using "faggot".
