With the benefit of hindsight, I do think it came down to his not having anything actually worth going after. The CT condo was being foreclosed on, and they're not going to kick him out of his WAkhando unless it's the only resort. The fact that Nancy didn't really understand the microtransactions 100% saved Phil's butt.

That's just sheer lunacy. I tried to get to that number, and even with generous assumptions, I think I managed like $2000-$3000.

Notice the change in his voice to a higher pitch when he says “for me”.

Some studies found a correlation between lying and one’s pitch increasing when they do so.
Here’s one.

It was found that participants' pitch increased when they lied. Furthermore, participants who believed that pitch increases during deception, produced significantly higher pitch in their lying compared to their truthful utterances.

Don't forget the global plague that arrived just in time to save DSP's ass. Nancy thought he was just the beginning of a massive wave of personal bankruptcies. Not just that but all the delays, complicated remote dial-in hearings, etc. If not for the virus things would've been different for DSP.


EDIT: hey, this adds credence to the 'DSP is a CCP Spy' meme... Maybe China unleashed the virus specifically to save their most valuable asset DSP?

I had one of those in the before times. I used some saved up allowance money to buy it. I will admit it was cool playing SNES games against other people and preventing anyone else from using the phone in the house (suck it, Avon people) while I poorly played NBA Jam and Doom.

I had played the PC version more times than I could count. It was the novelty of playing Doom on the SNES that was so damn alluring. And online, to boot. It's not like playing Heroes of Might & Magic on PC in multiplayer, it was just fun at the time to say that I was playing Doom online on the SNES. The interface of Xband sucked, but the novelty was definitely there.

One of my favorite things about DSP is he has so many "tells" like in poker.

"I'm gonna he honest" = im about to lie

"Behind the scenes" something shady I don't want people to know about

"Shifty eyes" when he lies he is constantly looking around where as other times when he is serious he looks directly at the camera.

Now one of my all time favorites is you can tell when something really bothers him because he overly exaggerates. I.e. the rant the other day about a gallon of milk snapping his arm because people were making fun of him or when he said "alottapeopul" accuse me of spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on mobiles games when we estimated 40-60k. He thinks if he exaggerates it that it becomes fabricated and unbelievable. There are a lot of these.

Notice how after every "I'm gonna be honest", he says something that in 2 weeks he will say that he meant to say something else (or it didn't happen) and it's immediately retconned.

The answer is all three things you mentioned. Excessive food delivery, alcohol addiction and WWE Champions combined makes him heading into bankruptcy again.

No one, and I mean literally not a single fucking soul asked for these. Not even the legally blind man. It stroked Phil's insanely overinflated ego to have access to a Twitter beta feature and it stuck around because of inertia. Just another thing Phil does off camera to feel busy while actually accomplishing nothing.

I find it interesting how an "anon" viewer hasn't bought him things to improve the streaming experince for the viewer. No better quality camera (Horrifying as it would be), no green screen, no better capture cards to stream at better qualities nothing. Pokes some more holes into the recent happenings I suppose.

My favorite is the weird thing he does with his mouth. It's like he's trying to bite his lip or something. Overall the guy just pulls a bunch of weird facial expressions while lying, he's way too easy to read, a cop would have a field day with him under a lie detector. Part of the fun of watching him really, "Can you spot all the tells that he's lying today?".

I'm convinced that most people who watch DSP do it because something about the bizarre psychology on display that interests them.

Why would he ever set up a green screen? I would be willing to be the only reason we'd have any idea he got sent one would be when the salty wheelchair who sent it gets banned from chat for being a troll after calling him out for not using it. He'd shove it in a closet, never mention it, and ban people who talked about it.
