Careercow Brandon "Bam" Margera - From Jackass to Lolcow

Its been a while since I've seen the movies, but didn't they "plan" out the stunts by doing shitty stick figure drawings? So clearly writers are not needed. Atleast half of the budget probably goes to medical expenses
That's how Bam would do it. I never saw it out of the others so I'm pretty sure it was just him.

From Reddit:

In early 2019, my wife and I took a trip to New York, we live in Atlanta. If you’ve ever been to Hartsfield, you know that the terminals are mainly accessed by high speed train under the air port. Well, we gamed the system and got cheaper tickets, which landed us home late at night. I think it was around 1 or 2 in the morning when we got on the train, maybe earlier, but as soon as we sat down bam followed. We had literally just watched the EPICLY LATERED documentary episode in our Airbnb room a few days before, and we were kind of in shock to see him. Bam is trashed, maybe black out, and his wife is holding their infant child. The train suddenly launches, and bam
Tumbles into his wife, and the baby’s face SMASHES into one of those floor to ceiling handles. Everyone on the train audibly cringes, but we’re all in shock. Less than a
Minute later we reach the terminal that they get off at, and the train goes one more stop. It’s funny, this younger black couple and this crusty old redneck immediately started talking about how fucked up this was, “isn’t he supposed to be sober now?” And I literally thought “did this fucked up moment just unite us as Americans?”

Over the years I’ve had a lot of thoughts, on one end of the spectrum that I wish I hadn’t been star struck and just immediately given his wife my seat, on the other end how much fucking TMZ money would that have gotten me? I could be debt free!

But seriously here, watching bams current spin out, I’ve noticed there is a very large movement of die hard fans that just don’t comprehend the dangers of his mental health and substance abuse. I keep thinking about that kids face just fucking crunching against that hand rail, and I wish his toxic circle of supporting fan boys would knock it off, this is a real person, he has real responsibilities, and real people are getting hurt the longer this goes on.

Assuming that story is real, I hope someone close to bam has called CPS, or atleast has reported him to someone.

Movies like Jackass see most of their money go into safety procedures that we can't see, paying to retain lawyers incase something goes wrong, ensuring that they have the rights to film where ever they need them, covering any collateral damage and insurance actually. The rest goes towards paying the crew. "Materials" are pretty damn low.

I did a bunch of research into it years ago after rewatching the movies with the GF and she asked how much work really went into it. It is kind of insane how expensive making it safe and legal really is. They also apparently spend a lot of money talking with lawyers to make sure nothing they are about to do is illegal or can fuck them later, something YouTube prank channels and IRL prank streamers don't do, which gets them in trouble on occasion.

The whole "prank movie" genre moved onto YouTube and Twitch, hence the lack of it on TV, and most of those online YouTubers and streamers are actually breaking a shit ton of laws a lot of the time, and they probably don't even realize it. Many of them film in locations that require all parties to consent to recording (if you don't know what that means, it means that in many places pulling out your phone and recording something is a crime. This includes recording the police in many of these places, and if they decide they want to fuck you over for being difficult it is one extra thing they can slap onto the charges against you to make your sentencing all that extra bit more annoying, it also means someone can go after your ass if they find out about your video and you didn't consent to being in it), and since the "pranks" are often being ass hats in public, that means they don't have consent most of the time making the very videos themselves illegal. It also isn't too uncommon for them to be done in places where filming without permission is a crime, and show acts that are, on some level, illegal. Usually due to property damage or disturbing the peace, but sometimes for other reasons. Seriously, people put illegal shit on YouTube all the time and don't even realize it.

Not many people are going to raise shit over a YouTube video though, but a movie being sold in theatres and on DVD or broadcast TV? Yeah, they are going to raise shit over that, they think they have more to money win with that one. Apparently an important and expensive job for the Jackass film crew during the whole Bad Grampa thing was hunting down everyone who they caught on camera before they got away and getting permission to actually use that portion of the film without any legal BS. That's where Jackass money really goes. Dumb shit normal people would never think of, but they need to be very concerned about.

He bolted a few that I wouldn't have expected a fat, strung-out boozehound to still be able to pull off. Nothing too special, and you can see it's really wearing his tubby ass out after each attempt, but I'm surprised a man in his state could still skate those parks less than a year ago. He's nowhere near pro-level anymore but at least some of that shit was kinda steezy. I liked his stalls.

Each video probably takes ten minutes to make, if they do twenty in a week that's $1,000 for around four hours of work. Cameo seems kind of pathetic, but if you aren't actively working I could see it being an easy way to make a quick buck while getting an ego stroke in the process.

Whats the status of the kid now?
Nikki has been lying extremely low since Bam disappeared but she appears to be back in the Bay Area with Phoenix, April visited them semi-recently.

On June 27th, April was in San Francisco with Nikki and Nikki’s family celebrating momma Boyd’s birthday.

On the bright side Nikki doesn’t look drunk or doped up for once, although I had to laugh at the photo she posted for their anniversary.

This dude brings up Bam's "toxic circle of fanboy enablers", but what is even more pathetic than them are Bam's dumb-as-dirt social media groupies. At least Bam's toxic circle of fanboys, as scummy, shameless and homoerotic as they are, have some level of self-interest in their dickriding and enabling of a fat, unwashed, liquored-up, paranoid delusional, meth-psychotic, deadbeat dad/deaddick husband. They think they're going to get money or clout out of it. The social media groupies do it purely for the love of starstruck, braindead, celebrity dickriding tho, which has to be one of the most embarassing ways to sacrifice your claim to humanity imho
