I'd ordinarily consider something like a major newspaper story good enough. The only reason I don't in this case is all the other fucked up stuff about the reveal. If you read the GitHub <https://github.com/snes9xgit/snes9x/issues/264> you can see claims that Wayne as his company Datapower Development Limited worked as a contractor providing code to CyberGadget and another hardware-emulator vendor. They specifically allege that he illegally used their snes9x code for commercial use. They post an email from him refuting that this was illegal and acknowledging that CyberGadget has requested him to cease using this code. They later claim that Byuu licensed higaan to Wayne, to replace the use of snes9x code. Nobody in the thread seemed to believe the RetroFreak could actually run higaan so they seemed to indicate it was merely plausible deniability.

I do recall reading early in this/the Byuu thread that Byuu was accused of bringing to light these kind of legal issues to facilitate the sale of his higaan code. I would be interested to hear more about this.

We knew as much from when he started posting here. It still seems weird to me. Why would anyone tech savvy, who has a long career in the IT field, sign up here with their real name, and then get into slap fights with speds while being tactless and disrespectful to an allegedly dead coworker?
