I just realized that homeless saga might be the better option for Chris in the long. With how easy it is to find him just by his car alone, and the fact that weens are no doubt going to continously call any motel that Chris stays in, it just might be easier for him to just live in the wild then constantly getting kicked out and banned from anymore establishments.

He'll probably stay there simply based on how cheap it is. Don't forget that his buys the absolute cheapest amenities so he can spend what's left on things he really wants. I wouldn't be surprised if he went out and bought a Switch because he probably didn't have much time to grab things before the police removed him.
