Its well known that rape cases are often hard to prove because basic hygiene practices can destroy DNA evidence. Just taking a shower washes away evidence.

Regarding known hygiene practices in the Chandler house, there was probably plenty of evidence to gather.

I think this is a non issue. There's text and audio evidence proving he raped his mom, I really don't think they'll be relying solely on a rape kit for definitive proof. He's already charged for it, and was charged super quickly so that's a good sign imo.
