I think they're reeeing about misgendering now because they don't know the full extent of it--as in, the extent they know now is that he's a rapist that happens to be trans, and therefore still bad, but pronouns still need to be respected. I didn't mean Chris wouldn't be charged or go to jail. I meant that it will likely be a plea deal and not a trial, like about 95% of convictions in the US.

The justice system in the US is not like on tv, the prosecutors just threaten you with extra charges until you give up and plead guilty to something less serious. They save money and get high conviction rates, you get a criminal record forever even if you didn't do anything.

Chris actually did do something, but he will probably just agree to a lesser plea and get a slap on the wrist.

They're actually treating him like a woman, regional(as far as I know,) is the only facility in the area that handles women.
Regional is also less than an hour from me, LOL.

Edit: I didn't know there were multiple "regional," jails. I'm unsure if Central Virginia Regional is similar to Western Virginia Regional, in the sense that they house female inmates as well.

When it comes to trans people they and the authorities are both in a difficult spot. You really can't put them with anybody. Put them in a male prison and they'll be assaulted, put them in a female prison and they might assault somebody else (or, lest we forget female criminals are criminals, also be assaulted).

2. Chris is being held without bond, for a crime as minor (not justifiable in any way) as consensual incest as Chris claims I am sure they would grant him bail. Based off the Bail Reform Act of 1984 the only reason he could really be denied bail is if he was considered a threat to the community. This can either be relating to him breaking his restraining order by dipping is fat fuckin hand into barbs bank account but based on point 1, I believe that Chris will be charged with rape.

The texts and audio are not hearsay. They are statements by the accused to another person done in a way that leaves a permanent electronic record. They simply need to be validated.

I'm just going to note that there are massive chain-of-custody issues here, so unless the sperg who actually recorded those statements is willing to testify to what Chris said then the recordings are likely out.
