Sentences like that aren't about making the person better off, it's a big fucking stick to hit them over the head, rub their face into the mess that they made and go "See that shit? Never do that shit again. Or else." It's primitive, yes. It's not the perfect and utopian idea of resocializing people that committed a crime and turn them into responsible, law-abiding citizens that mow their lawn on saturday and pay their bills on time. It might be nice if it was that easy, but for someone like Chris... Fuck that shit. Beat him over the head with the "10 years in prison" stick. It might not make him a better person, but he might learn to not do this kind of shit again. Or else.

Something that I haven't read in these threads (frankly, I skipped a shitton of comments via the highlight function cause summerfags are cancer, sorry if this retreads ground), but here's the cruncher:

Chris was really open about the shit he did in the phone call and in those chats (assuming those images were in fact legit). That was when he talked to people he considered supportive of his incest.
Towards Null, he played a different tune. He said he had a girlfriend that's in her 50s, cause this faggot just had to brag about getting his duck wet, but he knew that Null would blow a fucking fuse if Chris told him he was porking his own mom. He knew he was doing something wrong, that's why he lied about it. So he changed a few details to obscure the identity of his "girlfriend". I guess he even realized that the age is an issue, so changed that to a lower age too.
I really hope that the prosecution and judge will keep that in mind when sentencing this waste of skin and air. He knew what he was doing was wrong. He didn't care.

I'm also lowkey mad at Cole Smithey, that bald loser cuck. He could have prevented this if he only gave the tiniest shit about his mother. Sure, she was a terrible mother and he might not owe her much, but the least he could have done would have been to see to it that she's checked in at some halfway decent home for the elderly, since it was abundantly clear that Chris was not up to the task of taking care of her.
Fuck, I never got into the plans for that Brony-Con thing that Chris wanted to go to. What would Barb have done during that time? Is she even capable of eating or even just going to the toilet on her own? We know Chris wouldn't have cared as long as he wants to go to that degenerate con badly enough.
Maybe, if things had panned out slightly different, Chris would have gone to the con and returned to find Barb lying there dead from dehydration or whatever. But I digress. Cole had no chance of knowing what his deranged psycho-fuck of a half-brother was doing to their mom, but he knew for a fact that his deranged psycho-fuck of a halfbrother was incapable of taking care of her. And he didn't do a thing.

People who go NC with narcissistic/abusive/toxic parents or families usually have a pretty good reason, and they don't owe them shit. Just because someone shit you out of their china and managed to keep you alive for 18 years does not mean you owe them anything. All it means is they did the bare minimum job that they signed up for when they got pregnant in the first place. From all indications, Barb was a piece of shit parent. I hope Cole stays far away from this dumpster fire for his own sanity and well-being.

What is more likely?

1. Chis has a plan. He knows that the membrane between dimensions is weakest in prisons. I'm pretty sure he has a gf there if you look at his Twitter you can see pics of them together. Tbh it's not hard to find a gf in Japan especially if you're in a huge place like Tokyo, with millions of people there's bound to be at least a few girls with some fascination with foreigners and low standards.
