Careercow Brandon "Bam" Margera - From Jackass to Lolcow

I love the skatecows honestly and anyone who wants to dish about them is very appreciated, sort of unrelated but is anyone else fascianted by Novak's continued scumbag shit and does anyone else wonder if Novak is still an insane hypersexual scumbag? like he talked a lot in the radio show about picking up vulnerable bitches at AA wonder if he's chilled in that aspect or not
Novak is a complete bullshit artist. He’s ridden Bams coat tails for years and talks out his ass about his accomplishments. It did make me laugh that he was recently posting about how he was sucking dick on street corners in Baltimore for dope. Maybe just keep a few things private eh bud. He was also never a pro skater and he claims to have been in a Gatorade commercial with Michael Jordan which I searched for and could find absolutely 0 evidence of. He’s one of those people who has been around those who are the real deal enough to make the right sounds to impress people who have no clue about that world.
He was “dating” a friend of a friend who I’m pretty sure is a prostitute recently so maybe he’s run out of vulnerable women and is now having to shell out some of that hard earned rehab referral cash on a girlfriend. Sad.

I’d bet when Novak is off dope he fills the void with hoes from AA.

I thought it was interesting Novak turned into a rehab capitalist and used the same tactics the Scientologists used to recruit people into their shady rehabs. There’s a whole industry of addict head hunters who get people to call “for help” and then it’s checked if they have insurance or Medicaid eligibility and if so and they go to the facility, then the recruiter gets a fat fee or percentage of the total bill paid. It’s a very lucrative little niche that there’s been some regulatory investigation into because the whole enterprise borders on criminal with the tactics used.

I wasn’t aware he sold the purple lambo, when I was last at his house about a year and a half ago he still had that and a Range Rover. Was that a recent thing?
See this post for a link to him sitting in a car with Danny Way bitching about his mom selling a car that he admits his son can’t even ride in.

And speaking of Way, @Shaolin do you have any insider info regarding what was up with Danny hanging out every day with Bam and then suddenly dropping him like a 6AM advanced Calculus class?

I ask because Way has always been much closer to Steve-O (in fact, Steve-O accompanied Danny to Columbia to get a stem cell treatment on his knees during the height of Bam’s last “POISON COCKSUCKERS” episode) due to their affiliations with XYZ clothing dating back to the early nineties. And looking back at all the posts with Danny and Bam together Danny has this attitude like he’s just quietly laughing at everything Bam has to say and do and carried a smug little smirk on his face at every opportunity. Shortly after their Columbia trip is when the restraining orders were processed and I now wonder if Danny was playing tard wrangler/spy for the Jackass guys.

the Baker team were notorious degenerates even by skate pro standards.
This. They were originally marketed as literal punk rock scumbags and since this was also at the height of addiction for Jim Greco and Andrew Reynolds there was absolutely no supervision of the underage amateurs on the team, including TK. If you watch their first skate video it’s all drunken/drug fueled hi jinx and skateboarding.
Looks cool on video but a recipe for disaster. I honestly thought Anteaun Dixon was going to be a lifer before TK though. His epicly laterd was a mess, I think he got put in cuffs by cops at least 4 or 5 times and he went away for 3 years but i think he’s living right now.
Ed Templeton, Corey Duffel, Jaws, and Heath Kirchart sounded punchy as hell the last time I saw footage of them.
Ed Templeton retired after breaking his neck and now focuses on art and running Toy Machine, I think it was the smart thing to do.

He’s been straight edge his entire life so he doesn’t have to worry about a lot of other issues that these guys do. I’ve always felt that Duffel was a retard but that’s less to do with his skating and more his personality and the fact that he thought he could refer to Stevie Williams as a trashy nigger and nobody would care. Plus his Mormon faith and homophobia, there’s thousands of unknown guys who can do what he did without the rampant homophobia and racism. He’s from Walnut Creek, CA and if you know anything about that town you’ll know his beliefs and attitudes are right at home in WC.

Heath Kirchart - along with Chad Muska - is a great example of leaving professional skateboarding gracefully. He released one of his best video parts and said peace to the industry. I think he now lives in the PNW with his wife and keeps to himself.

From what I’ve gathered from eavesdropping a conversation about a week ago, Bam and Danny are tight as ever. Danny definitely plays tard wrangler but I think it comes from a place of love rather than having an ulterior motive - I believe he was/is supposed to be doing whatever movie Bam was talking about making with him. I don’t know if that will happen for a while now given Bam being sent away but hopefully if he comes back a bit more compos mentis they’ll make something cool.

April sold the purple Lamborghini for $70k, is it just me or is that not much? It sounds like a life changing amount of money to us common folk but it really shouldn't be a lot to someone who was in several internationally successful moves, had their own show and sold a ton of merchandise with that stupid plagiarised heart. Things must be getting tight if his parents are trying to scrape together whatever money they can.

He admits it’s high mileage and let’s also be honest if the way Bam treats his own body is any indication he ragged that car the fuck out.

Compared to what he paid for it, shitty. But at least he got some money back out of it. The car retailed for like $350k.

I’d say the fact that Ape started looking around for status symbol assets to sell indicates the money was needed. I’m sure it’s not the only thing she’s unloaded, but none of the others would be noteworthy.

The AirBnB at Castle Bam showed her sensibly trying to stem the bleeding on a big house they have to pay property taxes on at minimum. Sounds like they at least got to use that as a reason to get Bam moved into a more practical house closer to them for all the good it did. I guess at least he couldnt have 20 drunken dirtbags crashing at his smaller home.

As funny as that is I kind of doubt it.
As far as I remember he was the first of his friends who had a PC and therefore was the one who had to edit all the CKY movies. At least they said so in his Cribs episode or something, maybe Viva la Bam.
I reckon if you can use a nonlinear editing program to that extent you can also order shit on Amazon.
Enough brain damage and you can forget just about anything!

I think it’s also that he’s had assistants and hangers on for so long who were willing to do shit for him like order stuff online, go get him coffee, fetch him a phone/tablet charger, “go make an edit from this footage”, etc etc etc.

He’s had his hand held through life for so long that he’s seemingly forgotten how to be an independent adult.

In other news here’s the GFM for the guy TK killed if anyone is interested.

and finally Bam’s parents were on a local morning show yesterday. They did not discuss anything current with Bam but some of y’all may be interested.

finally, a recently leaked text shows the TK murder all started because TK repped someone’s company in an IG post and expected to be paid $50 for it.

TK living up to his hometown, murdering a guy over a $50 beef. Twenty years ago it would have been over crack or sneakers, now it’s for IG promo fees. Pathetic. The OGs weep.

Anyone who wants to know what’s to know what’s wrong with Bam only needs to watch that cringey Dr Phil episode. He’s a tarded adolescent boy with a bad temper and constant need for attention and coddling.

I still love how he tries brown nose Phil by name dropping his son Jordan, mentioning how rad he is on guitar, at the beginning.

With inflation $175k in 2004 is equivalent to $312k today.

$175,000 in 2004 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $251,703.55 today, an increase of $76,703.55 over 17 years. The dollar had an average inflation rate of 2.16% per year between 2004 and today, producing a cumulative price increase of 43.83%.

The fact is, cars begin depreciating in value the second they leave the lot.

Didn't Knoxville destroy it?
Yeah, MTV paid for Bam’s Hummer being destroyed for a skit. Property destruction is fun on MTV’s dime.

One of the things that irked me about the later Jackass episodes was the fakey set-up to this shit. Bam’s bad acting, opening the window to announce he had not seen Knoxville in a year, like bad soap opera plot reiteration. Bam never noticed the night vision camera set up across from his bed and was so shocked to have Knoxville destroying his Hummer the next morning with a camera crew and the bit that had taken a month to set up production and schedule crew to do. I’d bet Hummer helped replace the vehicle to offset the production budget and get prime MTV product placement advertising. Hell they might have just given them a faulty Hummer off the production line to destroy.

I imagine the only reason Bam would have a legit freak out about Knoxville destroying an expensive toy is if he didn’t see a camera crew recording it.

Yeah he cut the roof off with a handheld power-saw to show off for Billy Idol, it was weird. No one had given a crap about Billy Idol for 20 years at that point, I remember the dialogue being really awkward.

The smartest thing Bam could do now is tell April to liquidate as much as possible and invest it as well as all the liquid assets she can. I'm sure he's running low, but if he puts it to work he might just see some gains and avoid having to face a lowly life as a mere common man rather than a has been celebrity.
