Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

If the families ask Trump to attend instead this would go from hilarious to outright schadenfreude of the highest order. Seriously, how embarrassing for the Biden team, especially with their desire to be associated with disasters and 'attacks' like the failed 1/6 media blitz. They are getting shut out left right and center from everything that could get them political capital.

To my RINO comment. McConnel isn't a RINO. The dude fundamentally doesn't care about individual politics. He, like Pelosi, has realized that he is happy to be king shit of shit mountain. Unlike Pelosi, McConnel views it as some sort of sacred duty to be the absolute avatar of the Senate whereas Pelosi views it as her throne to use. The reason everyone sees McConnel as a RINO is because his politics will go whichever way the Republican Senate blows, which has been RINOs by and large. You can see him being rather malleable in that he actually worked pretty well with Trump, only really counteracting him when Trump was blundering around due to his lack of political experience.

Now I would love to see that happen. Just becuase they been trying to make their own 9/11 and use it as propaganda. But it also would spit in the narrative that Biden is popular.

Nowhere close. This is much more embarrassing for Biden than those events ever were for Trump. Trump already had a combative relationship with both of those men and their families used the funerals to deliver a political statement. Appearances aside given the choice Trump probably would have stayed home and maybe would have even tap danced on their graves.
It's a bit more embarrassing when 1,800 people you've never met collectively request you to stay the hell away from a memorial service dedicated to the worst attack on American soil since Pearl Harbor and it makes the news.

Exactly. Also I remmber for McCain's funeral there were people there who called him evil back in 2008, but we're talking about him as if they were great friends. Hell McCain also didn't invite Sara Palin. You know McCain's fucking running mate in 2008.

Also it hurts Biden as well. Because the media been trying to play him as the most popular president in history yet 1,800 9/ll victim's families do not want him to come.

I'll admit it, I came in fully expecting to say that he was talking about vaccines given (some Americans have had two, some haven't had any). But no, he does come out and say, plain as day, that "350 Americans have already been vaccinated... they're doing fine."

I'm sure you've heard the brunch critique of Trump, that if he didn't exist, liberals would be at brunch or whatever. They don't want to defend it or play pretend. I think his most fervent supporters want to believe that they can ignore whatever he does because Trump isn't around anymore.
