I think the telling thing here is the description

I think from this it's pretty clear that John or his producers want Tucker off the air.

I don't think there's any conscious effort to promote Tuck as the new boogeyman so much as that he's one of the few prominent voices on Fox News that left wing media sees as aligned with Trump (which is kinda goofy since you have Trump appearing on Hannity's show rather than Tucker's). None of this probably would help Tucker to get the same fanatical support he used to have since he originally was a lot more light hearted and optimistic with his show.

Checking some of those "Can't Cuck The Tuck" videos it's hard for me to not notice a shift over the past few years, plus the guy even seemed to stop doing those videos in 2019. Over time he got into framing everything as something to get outraged over and now rails against bumper sticker politics like "defund the police" while not even checking on how Dems had redefined defunding to mean to give more funding to police. He's also been falling into this groove of having the same handful of guests like Candace Owens to chime in with their soundbites that aren't really new or interesting.

Which all makes me kinda curious how much of Tucker's popularity is due to himself or just him filling a void where anyone would be successful. When Bill O'Relly still had his show it was the number one show for years and years, even when he had his scandal come out he was getting 3.76 million viewers for his show, which isn't dramatically different from the numbers Tucker pulls in like his 3.4 million viewers fairly recently.

The Biden story and election fraud really did screw his image with viewers. I still remember when he did some monologue (that I wish I could find) where he talked of how they'd give up doing stories that were essentially gossip or non-news. Then a few weeks later his show did a cutesy piece on the great health benefits of eating cheese. So it seemed more like he was wanting to be finished with all the Trump-world stories of election fraud or deep state. Which are things I think appeal to Republicans a lot more because they'd like to know what really was going on in the government and who the weasels were in the GOP. Thing is those are harder topics to get into because it'd require original reporting or investigations which no right wing outlets want to do. So now his show is a lot lazier and just talks about how Dems want to defund the police or how schools are trying to indoctrinate our children.

Tucker is a talking head for a reason. He’s not speaking like a political propagandist, even if it is on Fox News. He actually conveyed what I thought about for the past day and a half with this monologue.

And the fact that people on late night networks and other paid for talking heads on MSNBC and CNN can criticize this, but not the message, is just proof that we can’t use the “pot calling the kettle black” excuse anymore.

The man who accosted Tucker Carlson has an interesting background​

It’s already old news that an obnoxious leftist verbally assaulted Tucker Carlson, who was in a fly fishing shop in Montana. Leftists celebrated one of their own throwing mindless insults in Tucker’s direction. Conservatives appreciated how Tucker kept his calm and his sense of humor. Now, though, some interesting information is emerging about the leftist yahoo, a guy named Dan Bailey, thanks to his having outed himself on his Instagram account. It turns out that Dan Bailey worked for an organization that was closely associated with the CIA.
We’ll begin with Bailey doxing himself by proudly posting the video on his own Instagram account, including a rehash of the insults he spouted while following Tucker around the store:

It’s not everyday you get to tell someone they are the worst person in the world and really mean it! What an asshole! This man has killed more people with vaccine misinformation, he has supported extreme racism, he is a fascist and does more to rip this country apart than anyone that calls themselves an American.

It’s easy to quibble with Bailey’s knowledge and intelligence, both of which are clearly limited. His claims about Tucker being a killer are silly when one considers that (a) the virus has a less than 2% mortality rate; (b) the vaccination may have a very high mortality rate; (c) Tucker just wants answers; and (d) during the Trump administration, the vaccine “misinformation” was that it couldn’t be created quickly and that, if Trump succeeded, no sane person would use it. Ironically, because the guy is a Trump hater, he probably reflexively adores Fauci, who lied about his role in creating the virus.
As for fascism, only a historic illiterate fails to understand that fascism is a socialist phenomenon that seeks more government control (like Biden), not less (like Tucker). I could go on, but you get the gist: The guy is a dim bulb.
Despite Bailey’s having confronted Tucker in Dan Bailey’s Fly Shop, the shop’s owner, Dan Sexton, wanted it to be completely clear that Dan Bailey had no connection to the shop:

This person has no affiliation with our business, other than he shares the same name as our founder, who passed away in 1982. To be clear, we treat every customer equally and respectfully. Our staff was professional and cordial to Mr. Carlson, as we are with all of our customers.

Things start getting interesting when you look at Bailey’s personal information. Superficially, all looks normal for a young(ish) leftist. Bailey is a “Yellowstone Program Manager” for the National Parks Conservation Association, a 501(c)(3) charity:

Kyle Becker perused Bailey’s LinkedIn page and concluded that “He is fairly well-educated,” because he has a B.S. and an M.S. I disagree. As a fairly recent graduate of these institutions (after 2010), he’s probably not educated at all. He’s indoctrinated. He’s also a worrying harbinger of the leftism seeping into Montana. As more and more Californians leave the state they ruined and take their ruinous politics with them, it’s only going to get worse.
