Fair points. I mentioned lawsuits because I thought some would still try, regardless of anything like informed consent. And the lack of business would come from people not being given the surgeries they want, rather than those seeing the results and ultimately backing out. Though I wish the results were enough to make some reconsider.

If I understand/remember correctly, a problem with bringing suit against any SRS doctor is you need an expert witness to testify in your favor and explain how the procedure is supposed to go, how your surgery went wrong, etc. The only people who would be qualified to testify as an expert witness are other SRS doctors, which ultimately puts their own cash cow at risk. The only way this madness continues is by keeping people quiet, and the SRS doctors have zero incentive to kill their golden goose.

Look at how hard detransitioners get shouted down. Can you imagine what they'd do to a doctor who told the truth?
