Mainly because it's babby's first FPS, a generic series that aims for the lowest-common-denominator when it comes to its audience by being as casual as possible.
Oddly enough, I find Doom easier in terms of play control than COD.

I only reviewed them as a response to Barneyfags who try to claim that this show is well-written, when there are many elements in the show that would make me think otherwise. Not sure if I'll ever send that letter, tbh. A bit busy with uni right now, and I'm trying to relax a bit so I don't want to think about that now.

Dude it's a show for fucking toddlers. It doesn't need to have Emmy-bait level writing. It's meant to teach children not to be little shitbirds and how to read and stuff, which makes me think maybe you needed to watch more of it.

I'm pretty sure more than half of the boys in my fifth grade class played Doom, dude. Doom was the COD of its day. The only reason those kids aren't playing Doom is because COD is a modern game with better graphics. Kids love things with inappropriate amount of blood and guts. For Christ's sake, Mortal Kombat was so popular among children they made a shitty fucking cartoon for it!

Fixating on blood and gore in entertainment is the sign of a childish mind. I mean, I love it, yeah, but I'm not exactly trying to claim that I'm the epitome of taste and maturity, here. When's the last time you watched a movie aimed at adults that a child would find boring? Something with more complex themes than a Frank Miller comic book? Shit, man, do you even read?

Well, I at least want to make some sort of effort. To show these faggots that they're not necessarily trying to unleash some sort of new social movement by being twenty-somethings who still like watching a shitty toddlers' show. I want to debunk all of the praise that they give this show. "QUALITY ENTERTAINMENT", "SEVERELY UNDERRATED", "WELL-WRITTEN" is what I see by people who will defend this shit on the web, and of course, the 2-hour marathons of the show I witnessed back in high school. It really doesn't deserve any of this. It doesn't add up.

I get that, but again, the level at which I see this Barneyshit compared to how shit it actually is made me want to do something about it. Whether it works or not may vary, but you can't fault me for trying. The context in which I'm seeing Barney everywhere does not add up. 2 + 2 =/= 3 (a good metaphor for this situation).

During the summer, I watched a lot of documentaries on Netflix, and during my senior year, I watched a lot of NOVA, possibly to overcompensate for the amount of Barney I was seeing that year. And I do read, though not very much. Currently, my reading list consists of the Necronomicon and Masters of Doom.
