> Final moments of the chapter is Gappy and Yasuho going to the Higashikata fruit parlor to celebrate Norisuke getting out of the hospital. Everyone that is still alive is there choosing cakes, they all seem traumatized to fuck about the incident.

> Last page has Yasuho leaving the parlor tearing up while Gappy finally gets accepted into the family. I didn't like the implications of this because it makes it seem that the two of them might not end up together and happy after 10 fucking years. For fuck's sake he ends the Part by hugging Daiya of all people, Yasuho gets cucked again.

Still like the Part, but I wish the final chapter covered a larger span of time. Really needed that "How everyone is doing 2 years later" montage. Chap 110 probably won't do any good to Jojolion's reputation of being the worst part, since it's the one with the most amount of actual Araki Forgots I can think of.

I guess Kaato is with Noresuke in the Hospital or something. And wait, it says that he met Suzi Q in the USA, wait a minute the chick calling Josefumi senior in chapter 109 isnt Suzi Q?

Im gonna try hard to be optimistic and suggest that maybe its better to read the whole thing now since its complete without interuptions. But yeah I feel underwhelmed. Still not a fan of Tooru, especially his design.

Here's to Jojolands, which might be Araki's last. Personally, I wouldnt mind a military or espionage themed Jojo ala James Bond or Metal Gear.

It's not clear, since she got stabbed directly by Tooru and Wonder of U would dictate that to be a fatal wound due to proximity, so she's most likely dead as well. And yes, that girl was not Suzi

No confirmation about Jojolands being the last one, people are simpling assuming that due to the fact that hes in his early 60s now and how long JoJo has been going on. Although, if Part 9 also takes 10 years to be completed I wouldn't be surprised if that came to be true.

Between his age, and an old interview where Araki confirms that he had rough ideas for stories up to Part 9, I think it’s pretty safe to assume it’ll be the last proper Jojo part.
 
I knew we weren't getting any closure on dropped plot points, but I thought at least we would get some sort of thematic or character closure. We got cake. Also Josuke chose Daiya over Yasuho lmao.

Going back before this chapter dropped actually made it worse for me. It's a genuinely good mystery story for half its run and a lot of those mysteries got solved at the halfway point. After that it's a series of arcs that range from kinda neat to pretty great on their own (Wonder of U is inconsistent as fuck but has some great moments), but the character and plot progression turns into a mess and Josuke completely stops being a character. The only one with any personality or progression is Rai and he fucking dies. You don't notice it so much month to month because Araki is so good at drawing you into to the mystery and horrific spectacle of each new enemy stand.

I have to admit though, that sure was a story about a Jojolion. And Daiya is hot.

It sucked, its like Part 5 where the ending lacks something to make it feel like a true conclusion but at least Part 5 wasn't that long and holy shit that this part has more holes than a slice of cheese even for Jojo standards, its like Araki really stopped caring and just wanted to get over with it. People trying to cope saying that the unanswered questions didn't matter at all or that this is not exclusive to Part 8 miss the point that this was supposed to be a mystery story and you can't just introduce a bunch of shit to then proceed to do nothing with it, to be honest this was doomed from the start because is obvious this type of storytelling clashes with Araki's way of writing.

It also had the weakest cast of the series in my opinion, I just couldn't really care for anyone at the end. The flashback was fun tho, seeing Hermit purple as a proper stand was cool and Joseph had that charm that Gappy kind of lacked.


Hopefully Part 9 goes back to the old journey with the villain of the week formula because to me that's where Araki really shines with his characters and plots.

Remember when Josuke and Rai were arrested for murdering DocTeR Wu? Why do the police not care that both Josuke and Rai managed to escape custody, with Rai ending up dead and Josuke having committed another murder?

Technically yes, but it’s referred to (in the scanlation, at least) as different dimensions/worlds. At that point it’s just a semantic difference but there are subtle differences in connotation there.

He can move through different dimensions, which, in a sense, is kinda like different timelines.

I guess the big difference here regarding the time travel thing is that his original dimension is the only one that possesses the corpse of christ, meaning that, at the end of the day, if he wants to create a holy barrier around the US, he needs to return to his original world to continue his plot.

He also can't use it to go back or forward in time, stuff continues to happen while he's away somewhere else. IIRC there were a bunch of dimensions he visited where the "climax of SBR" was also happening with some minor differences, like Johnny's Tusk being only at Phase 2.
