Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

people were expecting the DLC to be longer quests, and new stuff.

Well that was pretty dumb. if Witcher 3 didn't get longer quests and new stuff and was semi-working at release, why would Cyberpunk which is in much worse of a state?

lol who am I kidding I should know gamers are fucking retards at this point.

For one. Gamers being dumbasses. Also CDPR was hyping up everything to levels that were out of this world. So everyone was expecting the DLC to be giant quests. I thought for the first DLC, they would do something more (a quest or two) since this whole situation is a shitshow, but whatever. CDPR has proven themselves to be morons.

Either way its hilarious to watch CDPRs fanboys scream at people that the game is good, and CDPR did nothing wrong.

To be fair, wasn't most of the free DLC for Witcher 3 cosmetics and weapons? And the rest were basic bitch contracts?
TW3 did get a handful of decent new quests via the free DLC, plus new animations, and a school of Witcher gear (four sets of six unique items) that you scavenge for throughout the game, on top of the more generic items and cosmetics.

One of the best quest in the game was from the FLC, Where Wolf and Cat Play. Still not sure where to land on which choice is the best one for that one.

For me, the game is good, but lacking in terms of immersion, it needs more fleshing out and little touches that make a game world seem alive, if you will, and CDPR obviously did some things wrong, although it's not as much as some people in this thread claim. Also, expecting FLC to be of the same quality as a full DLC is rather optimistic, honestly.

Honestly I would rather have 7 or 8 bigger DLCs that add stuff like being able to play basketball, arcade games, pool, or other side stuff then 16 DLC that just add skins to the game that fans could have pumped out in an hour. I know twitter and reddit faggots would get mad at CDPR for lying again, but quality over quantity is something I believe in. The biggest problem with cyberpunk 2077 is that once you are done with the story and all major sidequests there seriously is nothing to do in the game asides from fuck hookers, and shoot random NPCS. Say what you want about GTAV, but after the main quest you could do so much stupid shit like tennis, golf, going to the movies, skydiving. If that did not interest you, then you could act like a retard, and have the police actually chase you.

Cyberpunk needs that kind of content. Shit to do thats not just getting your dick wet.

Agreed. but I also think the game needs more hookers, Witcher 3 had 6 by default at launch and another 3 added by DLC later on. Cyberpunk 2077 should aim to have 9 whores and 9 man whores in order to prevent a hooker-gap with previous CDPR games. I'm only slightly joking here, the amount of casual sex of various sorts the PC can engage in this game is surprisingly limited when you consider CDPR's track record with the Witcher series, the fact that Night City is basically a massive and decadent metropolis and the sheer amount of sexualized advertisements in this game.

I'm actually waiting for the FPS fan mod for the Ascent that will completely blow away CP 2077. The free look camera using a Unreal 4 Engine look makes the game look even more amazing.
The Ascent nailed a cyberpunk feel with a 10 man team and no gay shit.

Something something Tony Stark built this in a cave!
Team! Passion! Commitment!
No, seriously, it pretty much nails literally everything cyberpunk in a way that CDPR epically failed at.

Look man, considering Geralt is called the Butcher of Blaviken for a very good reason and has zero qualms about lopping heads off whenever necessary (see the riot in Rivia), to get pissed at a Witcher of the Cat school snapping and going on a killing spree when he just got near-fatally stabbed in the back by a bunch of cheap-ass peasants is rank hypocrisy. There's a reason when you let the guy go Geralt just says "Heads roll. Its what happens in our profession."

When does that game get good, because I'm giving it try and it's awfully dull so far (Just rescued the kidnapped people from the ship).

I'd agree with you if he had only killed the ambushers but instead went on a murder spree. But that's what makes the quest so good is the morale dilemma. Another good FLC quest was Skellige's Most Wanted, just to see how much of a good boy your Geralt is.

To be fair, there is a slight indication that the villagers tried to kill Gaetan for his bounty, seeing as you can read a note in his lair from another Cat Witcher indicating they're all being hunted and wanted. So, that does add another layer to whether he was justified or not. And the Cat Witchers canonically are sociopathic due to the way their witcher mutation process fucks them up and makes them extremely emotionally unstable, but that's again up for you to decide.

Funny how CDPR did go from adding a little DLC that still begs the question of 'what-to-do' years after the fact because it is so good to completely dumpstering themselves and their credibility from a full game.

Thing is the entire town was in on it though. And again, he's A. a Cat school Witcher and they did something to them during their mutation to make them barely contained psychopaths at best (see Jad Karradin the slave trader) and B. the guy's injuries would have been immediately fatal to anyone but a Witcher, and C. he spared the little girl, and his reasons for doing so are pretty damn heartwrenching.
