Part of the problem is that it isn't as simple as just getting these people on a plane and dropping them off somewhere. We're talking tens of thousands of people.
You've got to feed them. You've got to clothe them. You've got to house them. You've got to provide sanitation, medical assistance etc.
This isn't an undertaking that you can just pull out of your ass at the last minute. This requires a plan and it's becoming readily apparent that we don't have one.
I can't speak for the situation in Qatar, but instead of telling them to fuck off because they don't want the immigrants, they may have not had the capacity to take anymore without it breaking down. If you do this wrong, you're importing a humanitarian crisis into your backyard.
What scares the shit out of me is that we have 9 days until everybody is supposed to be out. What happens when we inevitably miss that mark? What is the Taliban going to do then?
