The words "Horror" and "Festival" imply that there will be fun at this event, but I can't imagine it would be anything of the sort with a bunch of IDPol catladies screeching about how problematic the traditional horror genre is. It'll probably be as much fun as the Christian Haunted House from that one episode of King of the Hill, where instead of fun horror vignettes, the house was filled with a bunch of preachy object lessons about the dangers of listening to rock music or the dangers of having premarital sex.

I can live without the latest iPhone. (My current model is a G3 model due for decommissioning this coming spring.)

I can live without brand-name sneakers. (I usually buy cheap, off-the-rack shoes at Wal-Mart.)

I can live without subscription services. (Admission: Though I currently have no subscriptions to streaming services, I do have two magazine subscriptions.)

I can live without alcohol and drugs. (I do booze up on occasion, and any drugs I take are purely medically prescribed.)
