Dumbass Americans arrest ninth grader for being called Ahmed and knowing how to build things.

This kid did not make a clock. He bought a clock, unscrewed it, took the components from inside, and put it inside a pencil box. He then took that to school, days away from 9/11, showed it to one teacher, got told "that looks suspicious, don't show that around," and then proceeded to take it to the next class, plug it in, make it beep, take it out for the next teacher to see.

Why do you guys think he would plug in the clock and have it beep after being told he shouldn't show it around? Do you think he was presenting his clock for an English class project?

Here's a video of how easy it is to "invent" Ahmed's clock.

Let's go to the source of this story and double-check things:

Dallas Morning News - Avi Selk - 9-15-2015

A box full of circuit boards sits at the foot of Ahmed’s small bed in central Irving. His door marks the border where the Mohamed family’s cramped but lavishly decorated house begins to look like the back room at RadioShack.

“Here in high school, none of the teachers know what I can do,” Ahmed said, fiddling with a cable while a soldering iron dangled from the shelf behind him.

He loved robotics club in middle school and was searching for a similar niche in his first few weeks of high school.

So he decided to do what he’s always done: He built something.

My, the word "built". That sure as shit doesn't look like the word "invent".

Ahmed’s clock was hardly his most elaborate creation. He said he threw it together in about 20 minutes before bedtime on Sunday: a circuit board and power supply wired to a digital display, all strapped inside a case with a tiger hologram on the front.

He threw it together in twenty minutes, explained exactly how it was done, and the video you cited just happened to not perform it by those steps?

Eh, it's just two strikes. Good thing it's not three, otherwise you'd look pretty retarded.

He showed it to his engineering teacher first thing Monday morning and didn’t get quite the reaction he’d hoped for.

“He was like, ‘That’s really nice,’” Ahmed said. “‘I would advise you not to show any other teachers.’”

But your quote was "that looks suspicious, don't show it around"? Could it be you're shit at citations and critical thinking?

He kept the clock inside his school bag in English class, but the teacher complained when the alarm beeped in the middle of a lesson. Ahmed brought his invention up to show her afterward.

“She was like, it looks like a bomb,” he said.

“I told her, ‘It doesn’t look like a bomb to me.’”

The teacher kept the clock. When the principal and a police officer pulled Ahmed out of sixth period, he suspected he wouldn’t get it back.

Wow, what a retarded terrorist. Showing the infidel his bomb voluntarily when he hadn't even been caught yet. No wonder we're able to kick those sand niggers' asses with so few troops, amirite?

They led Ahmed into a room where four other police officers waited. He said an officer he’d never seen before leaned back in his chair and remarked: “Yup. That’s who I thought it was.”

Ahmed felt suddenly conscious of his brown skin and his name — one of the most common in the Muslim religion. But the police kept him busy with questions.

The bell rang at least twice, he said, while the officers searched his belongings and questioned his intentions. The principal threatened to expel him if he didn’t make a written statement, he said.

“They were like, ‘So you tried to make a bomb?’” Ahmed said.

“I told them no, I was trying to make a clock.”

“He said, ‘It looks like a movie bomb to me.’”

Nope. No thuggery here, folks. It's just the kind of shit you'd expect when dealing with darkies who worship a 7th Century epileptic. Expulsion is if anything lenient. Really, they probably should've shot Young Osama right there.

Interestingly, Ahmed's father registered the "Twin Towers Transportation Company" last year in Irving, Texas, two weeks before September 11th. Why do you guys think a Muslim would register a corporation under that name right before September 11th? It couldn't be for attention.

http://www.bizapedia.com/tx/TWIN-TOWERS-TRANSPORTATION-CORPORATION.html
Considering this company is registered to a man named "Eaz Mohammed" and not "Mohammed Mohammed" or "Mohammed Elhassan" or "Mohammed Elhassan Mohammed", and Mohammed is an extremely common name to the point where it's Dr. Oz's first name, and Dallas has the fourth largest Muslim population in the country, and this company has no record to speak of other than this page in addition to sharing the same address as half a dozen other companies; I'd say this means almost as much as Obama's long form birth certificate not being released until after he was President.

On a side note, his father also ran for president of Sudan, where Sharia is law and people are still stoned and crucified as forms of execution.

Yeah, because the guy in charge now is totally in the position democratically, totally didn't come to power in a coup, has consistently held free and fair elections, and keeping him around for the past 30 years has only ever done good for those spear checkers in the South. Amirite?

Mohammed Elhassan Mohammed said:

tl;dr

You are very, very, very fucking retarded, @Shugo. @Locksnap, @amandahugenkiss, @Doc Cassidy, @Abilene, and @Hat are also retarded for thinking you're not retarded and not spending so much as five seconds to check wether or not you're full of shit.

The fuck is this? Not only do I have no idea what you're trying to say I haven't even participated in this thread. Why did you tag me?

Are you one of those retarded people? If so, I'm sorry for cursing at you.

You rated @Shugo's post "Informative". I was shitting on you for not noticing that he was full of shit.

Did he also build the mosque at ground zero?

Sorry, that was meant to be a paraphrase. But his engineering teacher made it clear, he said he shouldn't show it around, and then he plugged in it and whipped it out after it beeped (from an alarm he set on it?) and showed it off to his English teacher. Why do you think he did that? Do you think he's that proud of something he threw together in 20 minutes?

Yeah, it doesn't look like it was his dad, but I thought I read it was his dad, but it was actually his Uncle, who was interviewed.

Here's a better listing for the corporation

Thanks for fact checking, friend, you helped me with my post.

Did I say the guy in charge now is good? No, I said Ahmed's father ran for president of a country where Sharia is law and where people are stoned and crucified to death.

Why are you so personally affected by this story you have to call out multiple people by name and say they're full of shit for clicking on a button on my post? I don't understand what's got you so angry about this story.
He's trying to save face for otherwise being the biggest sperg on the site. This is the same person who thought banning the Confederate Flag was one of the crimes of the century.

Yes. Seeing as how it was a demo and he's built far more complex stuff, that's exactly what I think.

You still have no serious evidence just what the hell the trucking company's relevance to this story is, or even whether or not it's real or significant in any way. You admitted you didn't even know which of his relatives was involved in the company. Why the fuck do you keep bringing it up?

Did I say the guy in charge now is good? No, I said Ahmed's father ran for president of a country where Sharia is law and where people are stoned and crucified to death. Why am I to believe that a Muslim would abolish Sharia law?
Ask Atatürk. Ask El-Sisi. Ask Mohammed Mossadegh. Just because this part of the world gave us Their Holinesses Khomeini and Khameini and the Custodians of the Two Holy Mosques doesn't mean that's all that either is or has to be there.

With the -- long deserved and needed -- secession of the South, the country is now well over 97% Muslim. Atheists get hacked to pieces in this part of the world, and converting to another religion is effectively impossible due to both social and legal hostility. Who the fuck do you think is going to become President of Sudan? Are you gonna bring Winston Churchill back from the dead and restore the British Empire? Are you gonna launch a communist insurgency?

Why are you so personally affected by this story you have to call out multiple people by name and say they're full of shit for clicking on a button on my post? I don't understand what's got you so angry about this story.
I'm not personally effected by it. I called out the people who liked your post to let them know they've been had. I was cruel, I admit. But I stand by everything I said.

I'm no Muslim apologist. I think most of Islam is, especially at the moment, silly at best and outright psychotic at worst. I think Muhammad was a man with some good qualities who tossed many of them aside due to his greed and the pleasures of power, and his legacy towards infidels and women still poisons the region to this day. But people like you are the reason it's so difficult to have a sensible discussion about the Mid East since you're not motivated by a serious quest for facts or logic, just your reptilian emotions and confirmation bias.

He's trying to save face for otherwise being the biggest sperg on the site. This is the same person who thought banning the Confederate Flag was one of the crimes of the century.
I never said it was on that level, even related to the particular issue at hand. Just that people were being stupid, hypocritical, and reactionary; and no one was talking about it.

I'm fine with you not liking my tone, my writing style, or even me personally. But you could at least remember what my actual fucking positions are when you're gonna shit on me for them.

Edit:
I apologize for cursing at you.
Nothing personal taken, man.

Edit II - Into Darkness:
I rated a post I skimmed through and thought looked interesting as informative. I also rate pictures of Phils ugly face and shitposts informative. Calm yourself.
I'm totally fine with that. I just felt you and everyone else should know you were had, and it takes little effort to figure out why.

Ahmed has an Uncle named Aldean Mohamed.

An Aldean Mohamed registered the "Twin Towers Transportation Company" two weeks before September 11th in 2014. The same person is registered with the Sudanese Association of North Texas and Sudanese-American Association of North Texas, where the Mohameds are from.I got the relative wrong, but how many people by the name of Aldean Mohamed from Sudan do you think live in Irving, Texas? How common of a name do you think Aldean is? I'm going to guess it's his Uncle. Sure, claim I'm wrong, but I see more than just a coincidence here.

On September 14th 2015, 3 days after September 11th, Ahmed brings a clock to school thrown together in 20 minutes inside a case, gets told explicitly by his engineering teacher not to show it around, and then plugs it in, has it beep, and takes it out during English class. This was not an engineering class, it was English. It is then interpreted as a bomb threat.

You don't see any connection to 9/11 with either of these events?

There are dozens of Mohameds in Irving. Any one of them could be living with an Aldean, or Aldean is or could be one of the hundreds of other Mohameds in Dallas, or he might not even be a real person, or this might not even be a real company. Clock Boy's father is the eldest of nine. That's a lot of fucking people.

All you've done is looked at a pattern. You've done nothing to check wether or not you're wrong, or wether or not your hypothesis is falsifiable, or even put a hypothesis together to begin with. This is the kind of rigorous investigative fact checking I'd expect from Dallas's own Alex Jones. So until you come up with something real, it's absurd of you to be throwing out accusations of terrorism on a fucking fourteen year old who wasn't even born yet when 9/11 happened and whose family isn't even part of one of the fascist Muslim branches like Wahhabiism.

How the fuck is this even relevant? You still haven't come up with anything close to a hypothesis, and when you do come up with a hypothesis, you've supposed to see if you can disprove it. The more work you put into trying and failing to disprove it, the closer you come to actual reality.

For example: if you've come up with a hypothesis that -- just off the top of my head -- R. Kelly and John Travolta are sexual predators, you can pour into the phonebooks worth of pages of their legal records and lawsuit records which are openly available and relatively easy to access. It might not enough evidence to send them to prison, but much like the theory of evolution, we can pretty safely theorize that it's a bad idea to accept a glass of wine from either of those two men.

In this case, you have less info to work with I'll admit. And maybe he is a terrorist. Maybe he is planning an attack. But until you seek to test that hypothesis using serious techniques rather than acting as a glorified Infowarrior, you're doing nothing more than calling a witch hunt on a fourteen year old boy.

And maybe he is a terrorist. Maybe he is planning an attack.

I never said any of this. It looks more to me like they are doing inflammatory things around September 11th to garner attention and make people anxious about a bunch of people named Mohamed naming things after the Twin Towers and bringing something that does blatantly look like an IED to school, plugging it in, making it beep, and showing it around when told not to (because obviously it looks like a bomb). It looks like their next plan is to sue for a bunch of money for "Islamophobia."

Do you have anything close to evidence for this? Do you have any evidence that it would even be cost effective to do such a thing? And regardless of all of that, how can you possibly justify a school system where this kind of shit is normal?

Do you have anything close to evidence for this?

Yeah, his Uncle sharing the name of a person who registered the Twin Towers Transportation company last year...

And regardless of all of that, how can you possibly justify a school system where this kind of shit is normal?

Have you seen a suitcase bomb? Take a look. Does this look anything like what Ahmed brought to school? Three days after September Eleventh?

Why did he keep showing it around after his engineering teacher explicitly told him not to? Why do you think his engineering teacher told him not to?

He brought what looked like a bomb to school three days after September 11th. Are you going to say it didn't look like a bomb? Are you going to say taking a clock out of its case is so revolutionary he has to ignore his teacher's advice and plug it in during English class to show off to his English teacher?

I feel like this is partially because 1. The teacher was a retard 2. They suspend kids for having plastic knives from kfc to cut up leftover chicken in their lunch these days and a little bit of race thrown in there for good measure. I do think a lot of Americans are scared of muslims, I went to school with a muslim girl and a lot of people treated her like shit because of it and also because she had a big nose and cried whenever someone said WWE was fake so it was a combination of many factors

Wow. So much Conservative spin on some of these posts I'm surprised any words could stay on the page due to centrifugal force.

The story in a nutshell: Intelligent brown kid brings something to class stupid white people don't understand. Stupid white people freak out, fuck up ROYALLY, then try to backtrack to save face. Story goes viral, and anyone with a higher IQ than a pop tart stands with the brown kid. Conservatives get butthurt over the fact their scheme to get the little sand nigger didn't work, and then they try a reputation smear campaign. This also doesn't work, and they get even more butthurt.

but what happens the next time when it is a bomb?
