Yeah, in the "And I just won" video, he looks like a normal albeit somewhat dorky kid his age who was into Pokemon. The seeds of his future were already sown by that time however. It would take a better upbringing for him to turn out normal.

The doctors that diagnosed Chris with autism told Borb that he may never write his name to talk properly. Those doctors were more or less right.
No, I don't think Chris ever stood the chance. The way he acted during his high school graduation was clear that Chris couldn't live a normal life. Look at his stint at Wendy's: a normie would grit and bear with working at a place like that. Chris was disorganized and got into it with his manager like a child. Then came PVCC. Bob should have thought twice about enrolling Chris there. If this was the same person who acted out in the same manner as working at a fast food place and his high school graduation, he'd have no hope for college. Chris' actions were proven right again when he got into it with his English college professor, students, and of course, MLW. The rest is Christory.
Never once did Borb sit Chris down and seriously talked about not soliciting sex with that attraction sign. Things only went downhill with Chris' use of the internet: again, Borb never sat down with Chris and warn him about being catfished and trolled. To be fair, Bob and Barb were new to the net themselves, but that's still no excuse. One of the many problems with Chris was that he was never taught "don't do this unless ______", and Chris started falling for the same trick over again. Chris is almost 40, and never changed because of either ego, autism, naivety or all three. Chris would say "I'm making a jackass out of myself, maybe I should stop." There were also trolls tried to convince Chris to change. He didn't: so it's the same song and dance all over again. As much as autistics love routines, with Chris, he was never taught a structured routine. This is why he has an absurd sleeping schedule (according to him).
Chris wasted 5 years on a college degree that took him nowhere, and was focused more on building and using his fantasy world, CWCville (and being a sex pest), as opposed to build on that degree. That's pretty indicative of Chris' life: a waste. Buy something, just to never use it.
Basically, Chris is a cautionary tale of what not to raise.

Normal? No, better than he had it? Possibly. The answer is not as black and white as anyone makes it out to be. We all know that Bob was the only one who tried to actually try to raise Chris right and once he bit the dust Borb never did a thing for him. But, on the opposite side, one could argue that the way Chris' mind is wired nothing would have stuck to begin with. Its a multilayered problem that couldnt be fixed if A was B or if C was D.
To say Chris never stood a chance as @Hogar Grupal said is just not true, unless Chris was fated to be this blob of a person no matter what, but I dont think thats the case here. I believe had Chris been put into a school to help him (a modern day one, not one from the 80s or 90s) he may have actually had some structure to help his wellbeing in some way. Again as Pickle Inspector said, not NORMAL, but close enough to be able to just live his life. And this is in no offense to Hogar, but I think had there been more help than he got, or hell if he was born in maybe 2010 on wards, the Chris of today would have never been. Perhaps he would have still become a troon, but the lolcow we all know? I dont think so.

Okay, this is no more than informed conjecture, so feel free to ignore if you wish.
It's generally reckoned that Chris took some of his favourite toys/crystals/other inessential shit with him when he high-tailed it to the motel. Given the speed with which he did so, it's highly unlikely that he took more than a fraction of the total with him.
It's also been widely theorised that Chris used some of the $750 that he stole from Barb's account to top up his toy supply at the local mall while staying at the motel. Given what we know of Chris's general magpie hoarding and gotta-catch-'em-all tendencies, this looks pretty plausible.
In the end, though, most of his playthings are still at 14 BC (Barb included, yuk yuk). As for the ones that he took with him to the motel and/or bought at the mall, they'll doubtless have either been left behind at the motel or confiscated from him when he was taken into custody. He wasn't led out by the cops carrying Lego sets or with Pinkie Pie plushies stuffed in his pockets.

He probably didn't spend the $750 at the mall. He was already negative by about $200, so with the remaining $550 or so he probably pre-paid for the hotel room for the duration of the EPO, presuming that he would stay there until the EPO expired.

I don't know exactly where to put this, there's a shitload of threads, it's kind of a big update I think, not all of this material has been out there. I know a lot of you are not fans of the ILJ forum, but I thought I'd alert everyone to some leaks involving Sean/Espeon/Neko/... that just dropped which appear to change the timeline by stretching it back a month or more. We have Chris admitting to sex with his "older girlfriend" starting in late June at the latest, and a few other unpleasant details along with a lot of fuckery from Sean.
This means there were probably significantly more rapes than some have assumed. He mentions the "every 3 days" pattern and also shows the same disabiltiy sex book he showed Null. Whether Sean knew the identity of Chris's victim is unclear for a lot of the transcripts and there is also no indicator about whether Bella knew. But regardless of those idiots, it means that Chris's behavior was more frequent and perhaps even more premeditated than people are thinking.

Chris always seems to have a little more money than you’d expect. When Chris says he’s broke, it’s because he’s already mentally subtracted toy money from the sum. Plus he wouldn’t shut the fuck up about going to mall to Null, in the midst of a major life crisis like a pending arrest for incest.
It’s also possible he didn’t prepay the hotel for the week because that’s a choice that almost seems fiscally wise. I can see him paying a few days in advance, considering the rest of the money profit for a job well done, and just hoping somebody will cover emergency charges or the rape/EPO thing would vanish. It’s like when he took the shitty van to Maryland with thousands of dollarsin his pocket. Came home, broke down and had all of $20 and a haul of new toys to his name. And generous faggots came to his rescue because god forbid you let great content like a stranded Chris just happen.
