It's what he's been doing most of his dating life.
He overpaid his first condo thinking and expecting the woman he was buying it from would sleep with him. Spoiler, it didn't happen.
I mean fuck me, I don't even have to mention what a big role money had when he was dating Leanna. And now with Katherine it's the same thing.

He has fuck all to offer but money, that's why you often see fat older men with young hot birds. However Phil isn't rich, he just seeks out exceptional birds.

Once again, it just goes to show how Phil views family and friends versus himself. Could you imagine Phil throwing a week-long birthday for Kat?

Also, I just had a thought: What if Phil's adamant refusal to say what he and Kat were doing was because Phil was too fucking lazy to properly plan out Kat's birthday in time? That way, when things didn't go according to plan (as they did), he had an out with his paypigs in order to gain sympathy?

Bizarre moment on stream.
Phil's chat significantly slowed. He commented 'And now nobody is talking in chat... I don't know why! It sucks!'
Having been prompted, post frequency increased a little.
Phil's response?
"Now people are talking again. That's good."

So... he wants people to talk. But he doesn't want to have to talk to them or acknowledge what they're saying. But they also need to stay on topic.
You objectively have to have something wrong with you to not see how this is a problem when it comes to encouraging social interaction.

Someone named "The Forbidden Art of Math" also superchatted. Phil said it was too long to put up, and 'Probably a detractor meme'.
Well is math banned in your chat or not? Because it's not a meme if it's reality. Remember, facts aren't supposed to be hurtful, Phil. You said that yourself.

I mean. Private Investigators aren't that expensive. You can pay one a couple hundred bucks to tail him and take photos if you're THAT curious but don't have time to stalk him yourself.

So he lacks the creativity to do anything fun, he lacks the love to do anything touching, he lacks the drive to do anything he wasn't already going to do, if he can't buy it then he can't do anything. Shows you how spoiled he was as a kid and how he receives love. Through money. He's loving her the best he can he just doesn't know what love is, doesn't know how to show it and is too lazy to contemplate it even on the toilet a minute because he needs to constantly avoidance cope through gatcha.

I am gonna power level here. And its not gonna make me look good, but I have done better for fucking exes on their birthday. One was we were still living together to not just leave the other with the lease, and so I made her dinner and bought her a cake. The other one had her family just ignore her, she doesn't really have friends and rather then just let her wallow in pity all night. I took her out to her favorite restaurant. Like goddamn, its how I was raised. I know my Dad was good to his ex, because she is the mother of his children, but its fucking only money. And this is how he treats his damned wife. Fucking I'd neck myself. And like people said, this is his retelling of it. It was probably even more pathetic.

Well, at least he was romantic enough to not take her to the dumpster. Or maybe Khet's birthday didn't overlap with his monthly dumpster trip?
Now I'm beginning to ask myself, if dumpster day and Khet's birthday overlapped on his autistic inflexible schedule, would he take her to the dumpster on her birthday?
I shudder just thinking about it.

Well he took her to a Burger King, saw that there was people “shooting up” nearby and promptly decided that they would still get their food at said place. I think a trip to the dump would have been better.
