Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Now, without going into my full diatribe, let me explain some things. The vast majority of any population will actively and deliberately ignore the news. Left, right, center. Doesn't matter, they don't give a fuck beyond maybe voting 'their team' if an election occurs. These people lack any hard ideological lens though and are nominally what you'd call the Center. Center-right, Center-Left, independent, doesn't matter they all fall in the Center.

Occasionally, things make them Take Interest though. These have to fit some fairly stringent criteria and utterly lack a partisan aspect. Failing to do so is why Hunter Biden's laptop went nowhere. When something makes them Take Interest, they will suddenly shift that attitude of deliberate ignorance and begin voraciously eating up any information they can on the issue at hand.

This is where the grapevine kicks in. The origin point can be.... basically anything really. A blog post could do it, hypothetically. And once it spreads it -spreads-.

What the media does so well is not actively shaping a narrative, but passively discouraging the grapevine by providing info to politically aware which can pass into the grapevine. But this is very ineffectual and is a large part of why modern MSM is dying.


Addendum: It's also worth noting that a massive chunk of all political tactics, on both sides really, is focused around simply avoiding triggering that Take Interest point. Once it occurs there is jack and shit anyone can do to prevent the info from spreading, taking hold, and the populace from growing agitated over it. The focus is entirely on lulling people to sleep and avoiding the trigger ever occurring in the first place.

Hence why, despite almost a year of concerted effort, views of the 2020 election as fraudulent have only increased over time.

Those chants of "Fuck You Biden" all over the USA are spontaneous and organic. It won't take much for the towns, cities and states of the interior to push back. And some of those states are thrice the size of the UK, with state militias that are larger than your military and better equipped as well. Wait, where is all that weaponry produced? Cities? No, its produced in flyover country.

That’s pretty much what all “testify before congress” routines have turned into. Zuck was the same way. All you have to say is “I’m not aware, what do you mean by that, not to my knowledge” over and over again, and you’re good. Congress seems utterly cucked and unwilling to consider “not to my knowledge” to be the bad faith answer that it is.

Since this whole debacle began escalating out of control I've thought that Milley was the most obvious choice to fall on his sword for the admin. Probably Blinken too, given that they're putting him out there to self immolate in front of congress. In a just world they'd both be completely disgraced along with many, many others and Milley would be court martialed but it just means he'll have to settle for a somewhat less nice consulting gig than the one he was going to get anyway upon retirement. It's times like this I envy the ability of totalitarian regimes to at least carry out ruthless purges instead of this gay bullshit we see in modern 'civil' society.

So this sounds like a repeat of the NSA having a recording of nixons phone call telling the viet minh to throw the paris peace talks so he can campaign on the issue and in return get them a better deal.

Why did they sit on this information and why is it coming out now?

And is milley in on it.

Just like that asshole facui when shit started to get political (which to me is a sign of covids wavering danger) he should have publicly told people that this is a health issue not a politcal issue that he would step down from his position and let someone else be the advisor and just do media interviews. As an "expert" but not in any politcal capity explain why policey kept changing and appoligize for giving the people fuck whiplash.

I was time back at the start of the afghan shit show for cabinet people to announce their leaving the post at the end of the year.

@Gehenna your up on you political history I seem to remember the rebulicans in the 1980-1990s having issue with basically having planks that hated eachother like the buisness faction and the religious faction . Do you remember if there was another plank?

I'd say the 'pure' neocon faction which would include odious creatures such as Bill Kristol and Max Boot. They never really liked 'conservativism' and privately held Moviebob-tier views towards the GOP base but as long as the foreign interventionism kept coming in they were going to continue to vote Red.
