A Sheriff in California said on Monday that he will not force department employees or job applicants to be vaccinated against COVID-19, despite a state public health order mandating workers in “high-risk congregate settings” such as jails get vaccinations or are tested regularly.
In a video podcast posted to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s Facebook page on Sept. 10, County Sheriff Chad Bianco had previously stated that he would not be mandating new or current employees of the sheriff’s department to have the COVID-19 vaccine, but maintained that he himself was “not an anti-vaxxer.”
“I’m not anti-vax, I’m anti-vax for Chad but that doesn’t mean that I’m anti-vax for someone else that feels they may need it, or that does need it, for high-risk categories, or even if it just makes you feel better,” Bianco said.
“A lot of department heads, different law enforcement agencies are coming up with policies or things like that, and as far as I’m concerned, I will not mandate a vaccine for our employees, we will not make it mandatory for any new employee to be vaccinated or current ones,” he continued. “I believe that is a very personal choice and that you need to make a decision.”
Following the podcast, Bianco shared a statement on Sept. 13 in which he claimed that a local newspaper was set to publish a story about the podcast and an unnamed reporter had “cherry-picked statements from supposed health experts in an attempt to paint me … in a negative light.”
Bianco reiterated his position regarding vaccinations and what he described as “tyrannical government overreach,” noting that it is his constitutional duty and responsibility to protect the public. He added that the soon-to-be-published article was “nothing but sensationalism trying to gain readership and further divide us as Americans.”
“Over the past couple of weeks, the idea of forced vaccination has caused much concern across the entire country,” Bianco said in Monday’s statement. “To repeat the context of the podcast, I will not enforce the vaccine mandate on Sheriff’s Department employees.”
“The government has no ability and no authority to mandate your health choices. As your Sheriff I have an obligation to guard your liberty and freedom,” he continued.
“I am certainly not anti-vaccine. I am anti-vaccine for me. That decision should be made in consultation with your doctor after discussing the potential benefit and the potential negative side effects.”
“It is time our government and our politicians come to the realization that the only reason they exist is because ‘we the people’ formed our government to secure the blessings of individual liberty and freedom,” Bianco added.
The state of California has mandated that those working in “high-risk congregate settings” such as state and local correctional facilities and detention centers, get vaccinated or submit to twice-a-week COVID-19 testing. It also applies to health care workers and employees of nursing homes and the state gave employees until Aug. 23 to comply.
Bianco’s comments come shortly after President Joe Biden issued sweeping new federal vaccine requirements that could affect as many as 100 million Americans.
Biden last Thursday announced he will direct the Department of Labor to develop a rule that companies with more than 100 employees will require vaccinations or once-per-week testing for their workers, potentially affecting tens of millions of U.S. private-sector employees and health care workers.

obviously am not in such a position myself, but if I were any general of the US armed forces at this moment of learning this, I would seriously be considering organizing a military coup with the express purpose of it having one goal - root out this treason wherever the fuck it leads and no matter who gets condemned by it.

100% agree. If Milley worked with Pelosi to oust Trump, you've got to wonder if that was a cover. Doing this in february 2021 with Trump in power, you can go "yeah, they wanted him out" but doing this before the election? (Especially if there WAS election rigging, which in light of this makes me think there was) it makes no sense.
These two don't stand alone and are definitely scape-goats. Both are unpopular and easy targets for holding the bag and blame; Pelosi for election rigging and Milley for Afghan.
Who else were they working with, how long has it been going on and what was the real end goal? Getting Trump out was a bonus, not the main aim. Nobody in Washington could be so stupid as to commit treason to get rid of the sitting President. And if they are, there are some real, serious issues right now.

I think the idea is that people hopefully stop at Milley as he's being offered up as the scapegoat for the Afghanistan disaster. That's why Bob Woodward, the Nixonslayer is being brought in to throw him under the bus. He might even go to trial (and probably get pardoned by Biden's husk on his way out) so long as it saves the rest of the rotten administration from going with him.

I'm going to go into some background on why the Evergrande situation could become very relevent for the uninitiated.
To start off, HOUSING IN CHINA IS A BUBBLE. A big, phat, strange bubble.
It is the only real investment opportunity for many in China. Their bond market I think isn't worth discussion if it exists, the stock market is far too instable to reliably invest long term.
Housing is the only option for middle class investment in China. And they go hard into it. Many minimalise their spendings, find all sorts of legal loopholes to finance new homes. The terms are steep, require large amounts of cash up front, but they manage. And for years now, the price goes up and up. Everybody wants houses. In 2019 something like 90% of people who bought houses ALREADY OWNED AT LEAST ONE HOUSE, and I think 60% may have already owned at least two.
And when I say house I mean house or usually apartment block.
What this means is a price correction would be disasterous, and it's seemingly already inevitable, even if China staves off the worst of Evergrande, collapsing demographics would indicate that demand for housing will eventually fall. Either way a lot of people lose money in the property value falling. People tend to ignore things until it effects them directly. Imagine losing significant portions of your net worth to crash like this.
But there's worse to come, some time ago China changed its tax system so Beijing is now throughly responsible for the money raised. This restricted how the provinces could make their money, so they found new ways to raise money. They didn't have much power, but what they could do was own the land, so they started "selling" (leasing it for 99 years) and raising money off of something related to this (my memory is fuzzy on what exactly they do, but they depend on property values being high to finance their budgets)
There's theories that this property related shenanigans have also racked up the Chinese Providences absolutely fucking retarded levels of debt, (like greater than US federal debt by orders of magnitude) but we're not sure about that so don't take to the bank.
Real estate in China is such a huge part of their economy that it alone makes up percentages of global GDP. If that falls by even a percent things will get fucky globally.
In essessence a collapse could spiral into a new Great Depression.
