As for people who get hate boners for vtubers, those people have more issues going on upstairs then just disliking streamers with anime avatars.

I hate Twitter vtubers who shit up the scene by bitching about loli vtubers or rant about socjus issues and other "problematic" issues their tiny brains make up. I feel justified in hating those morons because they are intentionally making the vtuber community worse.

I've heard that some members of hololive have had managers telling them to change their personality and how to act. Considering how much of what makes the Holomems who they are is who they make themselves, this is probably incredibly unfounded. The girls are given a general character to play at first, but they have never been beholden to it unless they wanted to.

Essentially this. Holo members are given a general “character” to use as a basis when they debut. From their, it’s up to the girls on how much the want to stick with it or if the want to change things up. Just look at any one Hololive member reacting to their debut stream. Did you know Pekora was originally a refined rabbit princess?

Sana did art but only for Members' Emotes. She hasn't shown off her true powers on stream yet.

Rrat isn't a singer. None in Gen 2 are singers, bar maybe Mumei if we are correct about her past life but she hasn't sung either. She has an original song in the works though.
