As far as judging EN2.. I've only seen a few streams and clips but I don't think any of them are inheritly ''bad''. This is where I want to start a discussion and get to the bottom of why the numbers aren't there yet.

Personaly I like the models and personalities of all 5 more than Irys and she got an easy half a million. I suppose that's due to the timing and being released alone.

Overall, this is just numberfagging though, as the other set of numbers, namely, the cash these girls are getting and the live viewership is pretty healthy.

Originally i was interested in Planet and Rat but I havent been able to catch Planet's streams and Rat streams at god awful Autralia hours which is the same time im at work. Deer is whatever to me and Owl i find extremely boring. Only one that I have watch and I actually care to check out is Clock. I would still take Hope over Gen 2 though. Maybe its because she can collab with senpai but Irys is amazing on collabs and even when playing minecraft and being retarded she can still be entertaining to watch.

Reading everyone's views and opinions on the whole EN subs and all that fuckery has reaffirmed what I been thinking as of late to myself. EN1 was the perfect storm at the right time and all that, they came in when there really was bugger all ENvtubers now and a year later of everyone seeing their success, there are MANY more now. EN2 have had more of a interesting start off with susan being the useless ass she is and id also say maybe the lore thing as well.

I will always cherish EN1 Gang the most myself personally but that probably because I've been watching them at the best and worst all this year. I really want EN2 to find their groove and sail away, I think give it a couple of months and they will really start to shine. I aim to try and watch more of EN2 but it just finding the time to do so. Ill stop here and wont add much more to the topic as all the biggest points have been made already.

I havent watched much from Gen 2 but what happened to the singer and the artist? Sana can draw right? Has she done anything art related yet? Did the rat sing? I think Fauna had an asmr stream or two. So basically she seems to be the only one playing to her strength (and Kronii just existing and commenting on gameplay)

Can somebody link me to some notably good solo streams from HoloMYTH because I've been reading the past few pages and don't really understand where you're coming from with all the superlatives. I think they're all good at specific types of content (Gura with karaoke, Kiara with Holotalk, Calli with chatting) but not this huge irreplicable miracle for streaming or something that Gen2 has no way of measuring up to. From what I've watched of them, when it comes down to just watching an English streamer play a game, 9 times out of 10 I would choose to watch Baelz, IRyS, Reine, Iofi or the twitch streamers I've watched for years over them.

(I haven't watched that much admittedly and do think they're good as a group. I genuinely do want some recommendations to see what I'm missing)

HoloMyth really were a lightning in a bottle moment.

I think of it like Final Fantasy 7: to the people that played that game in 1997, it totally changed the game and did so much for both the company and wider industry, that it was hard to not consider it the greatest game ever made from the scope of what was available at the time. Nowadays, if someone is playing it blind, they may respect its impact in hindsight, but it's not what it was to people 25 years ago.

Calli debuting with a banger rap, Kiara's fluent Japanese, Ina's art, Gura's memes, Ame's creativity. They couldn't have offered the EOPs a better hub to place their support.

But now that we are removed from that era and the bubble popped a few months ago (there was a huge dip in views across the board in February. Doesn't matter what company or branch), I think everyone debuting this year and onwards are debuting to a much more plateaud potential viewerbase. I still stand by the notion that IRyS and HoloCouncil got in the way of each others' hype cycles, too.

As for streams? I only watch Calli from Myth in a capacity that vaguely resembles any sort of consistency, but for the most part she's not good at games and is in her element during chat streams and TTRPGs.

Sana did art but only for Members' Emotes. She hasn't shown off her true powers on stream yet.

Rrat isn't a singer. None in Gen 2 are singers, bar maybe Mumei if we are correct about her past life but she hasn't sung either. She has an original song in the works though.
